    INTRODUCTION

    L ife is meant to be fun. This is an amazing time to be alive in an environment rich with opportunity. We are here to explore our environment and we get to choose the kind of life we want to live. Joy and excitement should be a part of your daily life. Struggles and disappointments are inevitable, but they are not permanent. The challenges we face are simply opportunities for growth and they allow us to create the incredible lives we came here to experience. Your life is constantly evolving. It might be easy to feel like you are stuck in life, but you are never stuck. If you don’t feel like your life is changing, it simply means that you are repeating the same habits and thoughts that keep you in the same situation. When you change your thoughts and habits, you change your life.

    You have within you everything you need to create the life you want. You don’t need to spend a lot of money on experts or material goods to change your life. You know best what is right for you, and you have within you the guidance that will give you direction. Trust in yourself and know that you already have everything you need for success and joy.

    12 Steps to Health, Wealth and Joy consists of simple lessons that will help you tap into your inner guidance and create an amazing life. Each lesson targets an area of life that might be challenging, and each is followed by activities that will help propel you toward a different experience. The activities might appear simplistic, but they are powerful. Some will feel good to practice while others will be more of a struggle. Find what works for you, and then practice those strategies regularly. The more you practice and commit to change, the bigger your life will become.

    Although it might be tempting to read through this book quickly, pace yourself and work through one lesson a week. Read and reread each one several times during the week while you practice the accompanying activity. Give yourself time to digest the information and feel comfortable with the activities.

    Enjoy these lessons, and allow yourself to uncover the potential of your life. Feeling good and enjoying life is exhilarating. Let go of the reins and watch your life unfold. This is an exciting time to be alive.

    CHAPTER 1

    ACCEPT WHERE YOU ARE

    Y ou are where you are. Accept it. It’s not good or bad. It’s just where you are . It doesn’t matter where that is. Make peace with where you are and stop struggling against it. Make this your mantra:

    I am where I am, and it’s okay.

    I can’t pay my bills, and it’s okay.

    I weigh one hundred pounds more than I’d like, and it’s okay.

    I’m lonely, and it’s okay.

    I don’t love my partner, and it’s okay.

    This is where you are, and there is nothing wrong with where you are. Do not fight against it any longer. Accept it. Be at peace with it. Relax in it. Embrace it. Breathe it. You can’t be in a different place at this moment, but the next moments can change, depending on your thoughts.

    You have within you the power to change where you are and live the life you desire. Feel the confidence that comes from knowing that this is all temporary, and you can deliberately make big or little changes at any time. Change is easy to accomplish, and the process for creating change is powerful.
