About this ebook

The intent of this book is to open the eyes of the young readers, so they may make good decisions daily that are in line with Gods way. Ever since the Garden of Eden there has been a battle between the angels that remained loyal to God and the angels that followed Lucifer. Lucifer is ruthless with his constant bombardment of temptations. This spiritual warfare will continue until the day Jesus returns.

The prize of the war is you and me.

    Book Dedication

T his book is written for all young people that have been tempted to ‘do your own thing’ even if it conflicts with God’s way. I suppose that includes all youth from all times and from all ways of life, right? None of us are exempt from Satan trying to get us to do things his way, which is always exactly opposite from God’s way. Satan has been doing this since the Garden of Eden and will continue to do so until God throws him into the bottomless pit. And, by the way, Satan is not doing this alone. He has an entire army of demons and evil spirits to help him.

The intent of this novel is to give the young reader a little incite behind the temptations that they may experience each day of their life and to realize the spiritual warfare going on around them. There really is a battle going on and they are the prize of the victor!

Included in today’s youth are my five grandchildren that I dearly love and want to protect from Satan’s trickery.

I pray that their guardian angels work overtime against the tricks of Satan and his evil army of demons.

    Sincere Gratitude

I give a great big ‘Thank You’ to my daughter, Dedrea McMann/Tiscani for her hard work in proof reading and editing this book. She also had inputs to the story that made it complete. Dee-Dee is also involved with children’s ministries in her church. Currently, she is the Second Grade Sunday School teacher and the leader of the children’s music and praise team.

    Intimate Thoughts of the Author

E ven though it was many, many years ago, I do remember the decisions I had to make every day of my youth. Should I follow the ways of the Lord or should I just do my own thing? Following God’s ways seemed a little confined and I was ready to experience new things, even if they were risky or daring. Veering off the straight and narrow path will always bring consequences and hardships. The degree depends on how far off the path you go before you admit the wrongdoing, ask for forgiveness and receive God’s unlimited mercy and grace.

Satan had his evil spirits and demons readily available to offer me an alternative to God’s way. Of course I never realized that I was in a constant spiritual battle and that I would be the prize of the victor. Even though I was raised in a Christian home, spent my first twelve years in a Christian school and was in church and Sunday school every Sunday, the idea of a battle over me was pretty foreign. Spiritual things didn’t matter as much as those things that I could see or hear or touch. I am very thankful that I had a Christian mother and grandmother that did realize the consequences of sin and loved me enough to use ‘tough love’ to keep me on God’s straight and narrow pathway.

As I aged and matured the spiritual battle for souls became clearer. It became very evident when I had my own children. I knew the everyday battles I had and was aware that Satan would fight for my children’s souls as he fought for mine. Now I had to lead the charge against him
