About this ebook
The outpouring of this poetry deep from within was cathartic and cleansing. Along the way, I learned the difference between happiness and joy. I was happy for my sister when she gave birth to her beloved children but joyful when I was blessed by the birth of my own.
I was on a road to Damascus, blinded by roots of bitterness of which I was unaware. As my eyes became unscaled, it was sometimes frightfully overwhelming to look at the facts of my life.
Living in the peace beyond understanding is my daily state of being. I am anxious for nothing. I have come to truly believe that rejection is Gods protection, for He knows where these feet should not tread.
I pray that these insights yield enlightenment to all who are touched by the words.

This journey began in 1953, but this life began in 1997. These poems evolved out of travels back from near death. This near-death experience was both physical and spiritual. In this journey back, the agape love that our Creator has for us became clearly evident.

I dedicate this book first and foremost
to the Lord.
I also thank Richard and my beloved
children
Eric and Jen who stood by me
through
my journey to the peace beyond
understanding.
A QUIET RUSH
Oftentimes in the rush
We can miss the hush
Of the quiet in our soul
That silent sound
That’s not easily found
In the riot towards the goal.
I take myself to a field
So it to me can yield
With fragrant scents abound
It’s true peacefulness
Released in fullness
Restoring sense all around.
The lightening bug’s light
In the darkness of night
To the call of the whippoorwill
Is the calm I recollect
As my thoughts I collect
Making my spirit stand still.
In the beams of the moon
Listening to an owl’s tune
The gentle breeze on my face
Reminds me I am blessed
As in Him I rest
This peace I completely embrace.
This quiet emotion
Like a soothing lotion
Is meant for us to treasure
Soaking in the peace
Only He can release
With no bound or measure.
BAGPIPE WINDS
There’s nothing so real
That makes my spirit feel
That it’s floating through
