Dr. Kimberly Ann Lemke
Dr. Kimberly Ann Lemke is a licensed child and adolescent clinical psychologist in private practice. With expertise in working with children, adolescents, adults, and families, she specializes in parenting issues and runs parenting workshops and trainings. Dr. Lemke earned her master’s and doctorate degrees in clinical psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology/Argosy University, Chicago Campus, in 2004. She has worked in multiple hospital settings and was the director of a school for children with behavioral and emotional issues for several years. She consults with schools and is passionate about educating others on the social and emotional needs of children. Dr. Lemke was appointed to the mental health board for a local township to help educate and be a resource for others. She taught psychology at a local college and consults with area hospitals on mental health issues. She has written and delivered many professional workshops and presentations and has engaged in multiple volunteer activities. Dr. Lemke is a consultant for postpartum depression groups and offers the concepts in I Just Don’t Get My Parents’ Rules! to decrease parents’ anxiety about parenting and setting rules. Dr. Lemke wrote and developed Watch O.U.T for Bullying, a school-based violence prevention/intervention program focused on decreasing bullying and teasing in schools. Her program was implemented in grades K–8 at a Chicago public school. In addition, she coauthored T.H.I.N.K. Bully Proof as a training protocol for organizational and workplace bullying. Dr. Lemke is a native of the Chicagoland area and still resides in the suburbs. She grew up in a loving family with supportive, compassionate parents. She adores her friends and feels blessed to have married her extraordinary husband and life’s soul mate. Dr. Lemke strives to be a wonderful example of love and kindness for their precious twins. She utilizes the concepts in her book in her own family as well as with her clients. She believes that every person—whether a child, adolescent, or adult—deserves a life filled with happiness, laughter, and peace. Dr. Lemke is grateful every day for the multitude of blessings that God has placed in her life.
