    About the Author

This book is dedicated to you.

Before you were born, God had a plan for your life. It is no accident that you have this book in your hands. God longs for you to discover the destiny and purpose for your life. This is the moment for you.

For I know the thoughts (plans) that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

    —Jeremiah 29:11

I am grateful to all the many people who have shaped my life and helped me learn the basic truths in life. I thank God for choosing me as an instrument to bring hope and encouragement to the world. Again, I wrote this book with you in mind. I want your life to be forever changed as you read this book.

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

    —Romans 8:29

    Acknowledgments

How can I say thanks? First, I want to thank God for rescuing my life some twenty years ago through his Son, Jesus Christ. When I was sinking deep in sin, God saved me with his loving grace. I thank him for all that I’ve experienced in my life. It has helped make me who I am today.

Secondly, I want to give special thanks to my father and mother, Reverend Sherman and Clara Adkins. They taught me to fear and honor God at a young age. It wasn’t easy growing up as a preacher’s kid. However, because of their teachings and corrections, I am helping others find the best life in Christ Jesus today. I thank them for believing in me and for their many years of prayers and continued support. I want to thank my high school and college instructors for teaching me the importance of English grammar and literature. How can I forget all of those research papers and reports? I am enjoying writing!

I would like to thank so many pastors and churches for their many years of love and encouragement. I can’t mention all their names. I might forget some. However, I will mention a few. Thanks to Dr. Lloyd Benson and the Cathedral World Worship Center Church. Thanks to Pastor Darryl McCoy and the Trumpet in Zion Fellowship Church. Thanks to Carol Elaine Ministries. Thanks to Pastor Othell Adkins and the Bible Way Baptist Church. Thanks to Mrs. Anna Turner for the initial proofreading of the manuscript. Special thanks to my editor and publisher, Inspiring Voices. Thanks to all my family, relatives, and friends for their love and support. I want to give special thanks to all the readers who bought my first book, Life Inspirations, and who have purchased this book. I hope it will be a blessing to you. My desire is to spread the message of hope to the world, and that hope is
