La'Tisha Moore

La’Tisha Moore has written Christian poetry for over ten years. La’Tisha’s poetry was produced through what God has revealed to her through personal experiences, spiritual struggles, and deliverances. Growing up in the Greater Philadelphia area, La’Tisha has encountered many people who have learned to conceal their mental and emotional pain. Those various encounters have compelled La’Tisha to pursue her masters in Licensed Professional Counseling. La’Tisha’s spiritual and educational background has given her a greater insight and has produced compassion for souls.

    About the Author

    High School Years

This poem is my very first Christian poem. This is the poem that exposed my gift. This was the first poem that I recited in various churches. A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men—Proverbs 18:16

    God Because of Your Love

Ever since I was in the womb I’ve been predestined

God I love you with all of my heart but since I’ve done wrong I have to be taught a lesson

Messed up for so long get out of it and my mind is still

    half gone

Trying to convince myself that I’m not alone but it just seems as if hope is all gone

But God where is my faith?

God you have to stop by and give me a little taste

A taste of your love and of your grace

Look at me, I’m not the same

    My name should be changed,

My attitude to my grades, hopefully it’s just a phase

God if you’re listening, answer me this

Do you have anything to do with this?

Is this a part of my metamorphosis

That I have to go through in order for you to get the glory for this?

If I didn’t learn anything else, I’ve learned that you are God

It’s because of your love that I didn’t die

Self did not keep, you kept me

Even when I could not see and didn’t want to do your will

You kept me still and didn’t let me be

It’s because of your love that I’m still standing

It’s because of you above that I didn’t go to hell

When I was under my spell

That’s why I made up my mind as I long as I live I will never leave you behind

And will always remember that I let you know I’m so glad I’m yours and you are mine

Because of correction, I can one day go to perfection

And in my process of being perfected, I will always stay connected

And don’t want to go back to the bottomless pit again

For I made up my mind I’m in this to win

For Your glory God, I will always abide

    To God be the glory

Prayer is the only thing that God said that man has to do and never cease. My grandmother had me on my knees at a very young age.
