GOD’S ADDICTION
6669.jpgThe word on the street, out on the streets of gold and
Near the North gates of the New Jerusalem, is that
God’s off the wagon again—God has a problem.
Does that shock you? Well, think again. Everyone has
Their weaknesses, and God is no exception—even God
Has a little secret.
You see, God likes to spend; He doesn’t know when to
Quit. He’s into futures
again. Jehovah has this thing
For those bewildering humans—God has a habit.
The Almighty has bet almost all He has on some
Scheme to help those confused humans. He thinks He
Can rehabilitate planet earth—God has a wild dream.
Yahweh is gambling again. He just keeps giving out
Grace like He was made of mercy or something. It has
Cost Him a bundle already—God has a weakness.
It’s cost the Father His Son and nearly broke His
Heart; when will He ever learn? You can’t talk any
Sense into Him—God has an addiction.
The great I AM. He’s nuts over those humans, sees
Some good
in them, believes someday they’ll be
Worth something. He just keeps betting on them—God has an Obsession.
Yes, God’s gambling on the futures,
playing the
Odds, hoping that someday His huge investment in
Humanity will pay off handsomely—God is a
Saviorholic!

EMMANUEL… GOD with US
6674.jpgIs there any way to describe it? The All-Powerful,
Omnipotent, Omniscient Creator of the Universe, is
Willing to clothe Himself in human flesh—
God near us.
To become a Babe and go through the learning
Process on a rebellious planet; the Pure surrounded
By selfish human beings—
God with us.
The Eternal One, who hung the stars in the sky by the
Word of His mouth now a Learner, taught by finite
People, with limited understanding—
God like us.
If a brilliant scientist was willing to be incarnated as
An ant and grow up in an ant colony, the debasement
Would be less than Christ’s—
God love us.
And if the ant/ scientist was divorced by the wife he
Adored and felt the human pain as an ant, maybe we
Can fathom slightly what Jesus endured—
God bless us.
Oh yes, the ant was rejected by the colony, was
Ridiculed and often had to flee for his life, finally being
Tortured to death by the ants—
God forgive us.
On earth, sometimes we see examples of love, the
Mightiest power in the Universe. It causes people to
Accept great sacrifice, endure overwhelming hardship
And forgive grievous sin—
God help us.
Only a heart of love could cause King Jesus to leave
The splendor and adoration of heaven for a bleak and
Rude experience among those who needed Him so—
God fill us.
What humbleness, to give up the capabilities and
Talents of a human to become an ant, especially an
Ant that was unappreciated and rarely welcomed
Among the others—
God save us.
And to think that we humans can share in the
Greatest power there is, the greatest power God has.
We can exhibit divine love as we unselfishly bless
Those around us—God with us—and we with God.

FORGIVING GOD
6678.jpgMost rational people admit there are things in their
Lives that impel them to seek forgiveness from the
Almighty; reasonable people recognize that a Higher
Power needs to be gracious with them.
But is it a one way street? Is it only God who forgives
Us, or do we ever need to be forgiving with a perfect
God? Can a rigid, judgmental, wounded spirit keep us
At arm’s length from a loving Jehovah?
Does God ever do things, or fail to do things, so we
Are angry and ticked off at Him? Do we think He is
Unfair and owes us an explanation or an apology
When the universe seems to abuse or neglect us?
Just as we desire God to be understanding and
Reasonable with our human frailties, maybe we need
To treasure an understanding spirit with the Eternal
One’s Omniscience since we can’t possibly know all
That He does.
Maybe we need to forgive God and seek to be tolerant
Of His almighty ways. He hasn’t yet shown us all the
Reasons for the events of the universe, so maybe we
Shouldn’t burn
