About this ebook
This collection of poetry was picked for all to enjoy. The poems are meant to encourage and inspire your soul. I share that, for that is what they have done for me.
Donna Chiles-Strickland
My name is Donna Chiles-Strickland. I live in Ohio. I was inspired by poetry at a young age. As I grew older and began a life with Christ, that’s when the poetry became alive in me. I would write as I was inspired by the Holy Spirit within me. After reading some of the poetry, I would share with others to see if they had a similar response. And they did, with encouragement. So I write these poetic spiritual adventures to share with a world full of God’s people.

FORGIVING HEART
I heard a song the other day
that spoke to my soul and made me pray
I ask the Lord to give me a heart that forgives
over and over as long as I live
If I want to go to heaven bitterness has to go
so I prayed even harder that the Lord would know
I am not playing with this thing
help me to forgive whats hindering
I should be a step forward no looking back
with words of encouragement for those who lack
Oh Lord forgive me is my relevant plea
Lord Lord Lord PLEASE forgive me
When I was young I was innocent
not truly understanding what sin meant
Now that I am older I can understand
that you Oh God mastered the plan
To call out your Son
your one and only one
To go before us
on life’s course
To make the way narrow but also straight
that we give up the things that you hate
Again Lord forgive and wash me clean
of all and any unpure thing
Now that you have heard me let my healing start
minister to my unforgiving heart
Let all people see my change
but most of all simply arrange……..
THAT THEY ALSO FORGIVE .……AMEN.
A CHANGE OF HEART
I started off having a very bad day
depression was haunting me in every way
I couldn’t talk on the phone or respond to a knock at the door
surely I was deep in despair and bitter to the core
Only one thing could lift me up again
that would be Jesus my closets friend
But again I was so sour I wouldn’t let Him work it out
so I could just pout
So He told me to go on and be mad if I will
take a sit with the devil and just chill
And when He said that I got mad all over for the second time
and I thought He was a friend of mine
Why did He tell me to chill with the devil
surely as a christian that should be impossible
Was Jesus mad at me
let me check
