    I am a born again Christian 23 years of age. I was born of Doctor and Mrs Daisy Chelemu, I am the last of 6 children. I have been singing in the church choir since I was seven, I became born again at age 9 but only understood what having a relationship with Jesus Christ is when I turned 15 and I discovered who God really wants me to be, I battled with low self esteem almost all my teenage years and after losing my mum at age 19 I almost lost my way but God’s mercy drew me back to his loving arms again. now I am happy, I write music and record, I love drawing, designing and everything to do with art. I also won award for most well behaved girl in school, I am a youth leader and part of the intercession group at our local church. I love writing and sharing what God has done and is still doing in my life. I live in Lusaka Zambia, am studying Business management at Zambia Center for Accountancy studies, ZCAS.

      YOUR MIND

      Understanding your mind is very important because everything starts from the mind.

      In this ever changing world that we live in, it is getting almost impossible to catch up with the pace at which the world is moving. As a young lady, society naturally expects you to be updated with everything especially fashion and technology in order to fit into the word.

      It can be confusing and very exhausting, the variety is wide but you can’t deny the fact that you sometimes want a taste of all the goodies out there. Some succeed in getting what they want but others remain in the wishing prison for a long time, if not forever.

      The only reason all this is happening is because people have and lost their true identity, nobody seems to know who they are anymore are and those that seem to know are far out of reach. All these material things that people are chasing after have no meaning if they only lead to destruction.

      That is why, there is a better option, there is something more important, useful and interesting and that is knowledge and it all starts with your MIND. There is an old Chinese proverb that says be careful what you think, you might just get it That is how powerful the mind is.

      Verse 7 of chapter 2 of the book of Genesis says he breathed into his nostrils the breath of life. You carry in you the breath of God and that is how you have the life of God in you. So you can see from the beginning how powerful an idea is and how important you are in God’s sight.

      Once you discover who you are, you have so much power to operate the way you should as kings and as the gods God has made you. The devil knows this and simply keeps us in the dark so that we do not realise the power and authority that God has given us through his wisdom and knowledge, Read (proverbs 2:4-6) and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God.

      It’s all about knowing your power, dominion, position and ranking. Child of God, the only problem is the devil knows it before you do and he tries to do everything possible to keep it from God’s people but thank God you have discovered it now.

      Whatever idea the world has put in your mind does not in any way change what God has said concerning you, his word is settled and established(Psalm 119:89)your word, LORD, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens. So you and I don’t have to start adjusting to the world but the world has to adjust to us. When you know who you are, you will not fear a thing because Romans 8:15 says we have received a spirit of adoption, so we are adopted and we cry Abba father to God the father, we did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear. So fear is not of God therefore it should not be part of God’s children!

      The Holy Spirit has a mind too, Romans 8:27 and verse 28, the verse starts by saying ‘‘we know… It would have been a different story if it said we have heard or we were told but it is says we know. When you know something, you cannot delete it from your mind, that is how powerful knowledge is.

      So why then do i make such a big deal out of this mind issue? Well, when you are born again or when you give your life to Jesus Christ, you are now a new creature in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17) says Therefore, if one is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here!

      This means you live in him or like him; the way you live like him is by imitating his lifestyle, to think the way he thinks and to talk the way he talks. Throughout his life on earth, Jesus never lived a life
