Now 1943; both are living in a home for the elderly, Huck is now eighty, and Tom is now seventy-nine.

Together Again
Tom, here we are in this God-forsaken place where the old go to die.
Well Huck, I had a good life, guess I am ready for the end.
Ready for the end? Not me Tom, I want one more adventure, and if they took me, I would join up and fight those Nazis.
One more adventure? How in the hell do you plan to do that?
"Not sure Tom, but as sure as it rains here in St. Kingston, Missouri, I am going on another adventure.
I might even seek over there and fight the Nazis on my own."
Well count me out Huck, you take an adventure away from this home, and they will take your pudding away and lock you in your room.
Screw them and the damn pudding, and no one is locking me in my room.
Huck, remember it was me who got you into this place and if you go on a half-witted adventure they could not only tell you to get the hell out of here, but they could also ask me to leave.
Don’t worry Tom; I’ll say it was all me.

Our life is wasting away, and wasting anything, I believe, is a sin.
Huck, we are not wasting away, we are living.
"You call this living Tom? It is wasting away, and I no longer wish to sit here and waste away, don’t know when but I am going on a damn adventure.
Tom, you can do what you did when you were twelve, no way were you going on an adventure with me, but when Becky Thatcher dumped you because she found out that you not only liked her but also liked Amy Lawrence, you came to your senses and came with me on one hell of an
