About this ebook

This book has generated a lot of scandal
Don't try this at home: A guide on how to get reach fast, without morals or thinking of others, and get away with it. All you have to do is talk your way out of any situation, steal from children in need and not only will you become a millionaire, but also get a golden handshake.

In this book I will present 5 ways to get rich. Three of the people I mention in the book have stolen 1 million dollars, and got away with it. I will detail how they have done it, how they set up a system of complacence where everyone was in on the scam, but they had their hands too far up the cookie jar to go back. In the end, I will debate the morality of stealing and what kinds of choices we have, in critical moments. The companies they stole from are multi-million dollar corporations or institutions of political power.

The chapters are:
Chapter 1: How to Steal 1 Million Dollars from the Company That Makes Soap with ¼ Moisturizing Cream and Beauty Sketches
Chapter 2: How to Steal 1 Million Dollars from the Company That Makes European Beer for The Man of The World
Chapter 3: How to Steal 1 Million Dollars from Someone Just Like You
Chapter 4: How to Steal 1 Million Dollars from Companies You Have Never Heard About
Chapter 5: On the Morality of Stealing

Excerpt: "In my experience, I have met 3 people who really had the ability to sell anything (the "Thank you for smoking" kind of masters). I know them all personally and I have watched as each of them became a millionaire. How? Simply put, by stealing a million dollars. In this book, I will tell you the stories of how these people became rich. I am not rich, but if you and at least 500 thousand of your friends buy this book, I might become rich- fingers crossed. Since anonymity will allow me to tell the full stories, and altering the facts will dissipate any potential legal responsibility, I can disclose how stealing a million dollars is not as hard as it sounds. I do have to warn you that following any of these three stories might have legal implications for you, so please be aware that any action has correlating consequences.

The book has 5 chapters, dealing with the people I have meet during my 7 years in multinational companies, in a country within the EU, that shall remain nameless for the moment (hope no one will check the account nationality, or piece the story together, to figure out the companies or, even worse, the people- fingers crossed, again). The first three chapters are the real stories of how to steal 1 million dollars. The forth chapter will deal with how to steal less than 1 million dollars, with higher legal implications. And the final chapter will deal with the mechanism that drive us to do something (for example, to steal), balancing the benefits over the risks"
All the stories in this book are inspired by true events, but any resemblance is a pure coincidence. Please do not try to Steal 1 Million Dollars yourselves as you might face criminal charges. I hope you enjoy the stories of how to get rich fast and Steal 1 Million Dollars.

How to Steal 1 Million Dollars- A Practical Guide - Bayer Catalin

    Author’s note

I have been working in marketing for the past 7 years. In my last role, I was a senior responsible for selling heavy alcohol to young audiences. Really young audiences. This experience really made me wonder about what drives our choices and what really makes us tick. At the end of the day, if I did my job right and the young teen (*legally aged person who could consume alcohol, pardon my typo), would buy my whisky, I would get a fat bonus. The system worked really well. But I wasn’t getting very rich, and that really bothered me.

In my experience, I have met 3 people who really had the ability to sell anything (the Thank you for smoking kind of masters).

And the final chapter will deal with the mechanism that drive us to do something (for example, to steal), balancing the benefits over the risks.

I must reinforce the message that I do not recommend you use this advice and go steal the money for yourself. I state again, that there are legal implications and you might go to prison...depending on your country. Therefore, I suggest you look at this book as a testimony of how influence can get you things (even 1 million dollars), contemplate what drives people to do certain actions (steal), and just be amazed of the things that these three people have done and mostly gotten away with. I will state from the start that one of the persons in this book has now gone from millionaire to multi-millionaire, one has continued to steal from another company (I do not know the exact details as we have since changed companies), and one person is now a senator in a European country, fully benefiting from immunity. I hope you will read these stories and ask yourself what kind of community you would like to build and in what kind of a society you would like your kids to grow up in. And if the answer is one in which you can get away with stealing a lot of money, then please use these stories as an inspiration (although, I insist, I do not recommend stealing money, it is probably illegal, depending on how you advertise the situation). This is a key point for the book- all these people got away because they managed to present the situation in such a way that it seemed...legal. If, however, you believe that these people should go to jail, then you will love the last chapter, in which I will talk a bit more about what makes us tick.

This is by no means a treaty on morality or injustice. This is a story of how to steal money, and get away with it. You might ask why I have not reported these people to the police. Well, there are a few reasons why:

For the sake of anonymity, I will change the names of the companies I am referring to, and I hope there will not be enough hints to figure them out. My objective is not to call them out or to draw some light on potentially illegal aspects going on under their nose. But rather, I would like to go a bit deeper in to the motives behind our actions and what kind of justification there is, should anyone decide to steal a million dollars. You could ask yourself- how could I live with myself if I steal? Or the pressure of stealing would destroy me. You will see, after I present the stories and my friends’ (the ones who stole the money) point of view, that it is surprisingly easy to justify stealing. But is it stealing? Is it taking money from someone illegally? Or is it redistribution of funds from people who do not deserve them, to people who have rightfully worked for them? You might ask if the road to heaven is paved with good intentions. So, what if I told you that one of the people, who stole the money, used it for life saving operations for their family? Or that the money was intended to sell more alcohol to minors (*young adults who are legally allowed to drink alcohol- these typos are getting out of hand)? Would knowing that money intended for hard-core marketing campaigns, sometimes targeting vulnerable people, was now used to save some lives, make stealing any better? Would knowing this somehow justify stealing from your greedy company? Or would stealing still be stealing, regardless of the purpose?

There are, of course, different types of stealing. There is stealing by forgetting to tell your mom that the groceries were 1$ cheaper than she had given you, and keeping the money for yourself. On the other hand, is stealing from your family still stealing? Or does it matter how much you steal? Is there a difference between stealing 1$ from your mom and stealing 1 million from a company? Should we define stealing depending on the circumstances and maybe forget stealing and punish other kinds? But then, who is to decide that 1 million should be forgiven, while 1 billion should be punished?  In the next chapter, I will present these conflicting points of view from different perspectives. I promised you I would tell the story of how 3 million dollars have been stolen. This is their stories...

Chapter 1: How to Steal 1 Million Dollars from the Company That Makes Soap with ¼ Moisturizing Cream and Beauty Sketches

I must admit, this is the reason why I have written this book. When I was just starting in marketing, I met the most amazing person, who told me how she (or he, could be a he, not implying the gender) stole 1 million dollars from the company we were working at. Full disclosure- she was having an affair with my brother. That’s how I know the story. Her husband was in on the whole deal. But she was more worried about the affair than the prospect of going to jail.

Before I tell you her (or his) story, we have to take a look at how marketing works in
