To my grandchildren. This book was written with their generation in mind. My prayer is that God will use me to reach that generation.

To my lifelong friend, for all your assistance in aiding me with the manuscript. Thank you for your patience through the many phone calls, e-mails, and text messages. You truly are a blessing to me.

And to my family, especially my sisters, who helped me to remember that families really do stick together, no matter what.

    About the Author

Ja’Nae Nacole is a righteous woman of God, an office manager of a successful dental practice, and an entrepreneur. She is well known for her medical/dental office consulting skills. Her leadership and dedication to her clients have earned her great respect. She is a mother, passionate mentor, and author. She is the youngest of eleven children. She is extremely focused on her family, especially her thirteen grandchildren, who lovingly call her GiGi.

After her twenty-five-year career as a supervisor and business owner, Ja’Nae decided it was time to follow her true passion of writing and started capturing her great memories of her childhood in a small town. In her first book, As long as the Bluebonnets Bloom, she shares her personal recollections of love, fear, neglect, death, faith, hope, strong family ties, and a solid Christian foundation.

In this book, Ja’Nae puts her life on display to encourage those who are disheartened, primarily focusing on young ladies transitioning into womanhood. She has also incorporated several poems into this project, as writing poetry is her true gift from God. Her vision is to have an impact on preteens and teenagers. Ja’Nae attributes her successes in life to her commitment to godly principles, and she encourages her grandchildren to do the same.

Ja’Nae currently lives in Houston, and when she’s not traveling and visiting family and friends, she is busy shopping for and restoring antique furniture.

    Foreword

As Long as the Bluebonnets Bloom depicts the many emotions of a confused teenage girl. She has the calling of God on her life, but doesn’t understand the full extent of her purpose. As she goes through many trials and tribulations in life, she finds that she grows through them as well.

June Whitfield is any teenager you may see today. Confusion, peer pressure, and feelings of hopelessness are common in today’s teenage culture.

There are about 3.2 million unwanted pregnancies in the United States. The teenage death toll continues to soar as we seem to lose control of our teens. Drug abuse is at an all-time high, and with the introduction of synthetic marijuana, this will probably continue to increase.

We need a right now Word from God. This series of Bluebonnet books is intended to capture the attention of those who are making decisions for right or wrong, and to have such an impact on their lives that they choose the right way, which is the godly way.

    Dear Diary,

Is it possible to feel alone in a crowd of people? Is loneliness a concept of the mind? Can people think they are alone in the midst of many, and therefore they are alone? Sometimes I feel so alone, and so empty. I don’t know how to explain it. I’m not sure that I understand it myself. I have the love of family and friends, but something is missing.

If I spoke to Big Mama about it, she would say that the Holy Spirit
