About this ebook
Ricardo Galván Barquín
Ricardo Galván Barquín ,Guanajuato, México. 1978.

Prologue
They say about the time, that its magic makes unbroken walls form the good memories, and it is true, they are not only irreplaceable tiles, but also the greatest proof that the best state of human mind is experienced during maturity.
This new creation, and from whose inseparable rumors I could not escape for whole mornings, afternoons and nights, finally comes into my life by facing the world fighting, sailing, laughing, moving, crying, flying and growing… and as a new being, it will find among the readers, my friends, its real parents…
. . . because as I ever confided to a woman, I am not creator of my verses, but who has inspired them; I’m not their judge, because the best literary critic and final owner is precisely, whoever reads them, a fact that in our times has been considered a virtue…
. . . The poet isn’t translator of metaphors, is an instrument of divine forces, whose assigned task is to throw the world ideas for the eyes to crumble and mind to digest, while heart transport them to memory, so the body dissolves them with smiles… that’s poetry…
Twelve years have passed after the first words written from the bottom of my heart on a Sunday moon in Canada, through an incredible nature which thickened my feelings and filled them in a spring that changed my life forever; and by having this project on my hands, I feel those old illusions gratefully coming to visit my own shadows…
And as a painter contemplating his strokes of brush again and again, repeatedly, from different angles and analyzing every nuance, I admire all these branches that sprout among letters, because more than a collection of titled poems, this is an anthology of the most beautiful moments of my life until then, in those lands of maple, bears and the Canucks of hockey.
I would certainly like to say, dear reader, that this long trail of words, isn’t but the biography of my stay in that place, and as the snowy days passed, sometimes short, and some other times long, I gave expression to my feelings on sheets, doilies, napkins and even newspapers, with the unique intention of unleashing a shaking fire that captivated and condemned myself to an irresistible inspiration, born on a feeling of love experienced for the first time as an obvious circumstance…
There were happy moments that not even the best smile could expressed my emotions, long moments of melancholy clouding my eyes countless times, unquenchable fire, of course, that shook my body in a thirst over the heat of flesh witnessed by my heart for the
