    INTRODUCTION

You are not a loser and never will be. Maybe you were called a loser on the playground. Maybe your friends call you that when you mess up. Maybe you have never been called a loser, but have always felt like one. According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, the meaning of loser is: a person or thing that loses, especially consistently. A person who is incompetent or unable to succeed; also: something doomed to fail or disappoint.¹ This does not describe you. You are not a loser. Just the simple fact that you picked up this book means that you are not one. God doesn’t make losers.

Maybe you’re thinking about your shortcomings. Just because you have failed before does not make you a loser. Just because I make quacking noises does not mean that I am a duck. Falling short does not disqualify you from being a champion. If you miss it, just get right back up. Isn’t that what Proverbs 24:16 says? For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again. You are a righteous person if you have accepted Jesus
