    About this ebook

    This collection reflects realities in my life over the years, especially during and after the war, 1989 through 2003. The prayers are personal in nature and scope, but reflect broader thematic concerns. They represent my daily devotion to God. While most of them are specific to a Liberian context, they also express universal themes, and can be beneficial to any reader. The prayers mostly contain at least six lines, in poetry form. The uniqueness of the work is its creative force. That the prayers are written in verse form also expresses a uniqueness.

    I was born in Monrovia, Liberia unto Rev. Joseph Cephas Early, Sr., and Annie T. Logan Early. I have been writing poetry since high school, but started publishing them in local newspapers and magazines in Liberia when I went to college. I hold several degrees from the University of Liberia, Interdenominational Theological Center, Emory University, University of Richmond, University of Virginia, and St. Thomas University, Miami, Florida. I love writing, especially creative writing, and I love people. People always fascinate and inspire me.
