    For the Reader

May you be blessed by the words of Vine Prayers.

May you make your heart’s home secure on the True Vine.

May you understand Jesus longs for you even more than you long for Him.

May you turn to these prayers in your pruning times when God is cleansing you for greater effectiveness in the Kingdom.

May the nourishment flowing from the True Vine strengthen all your endeavors.

May your faith be vibrant and alive on the Vine.

May the answer to your own prayers glorify your Heavenly Father.

May the Vine enable you to love His branches.

Please remember to pray for me as a fellow branch alongside you in Jesus Christ.

    John 15:1-17 (NIV)

    Amen.

    Biddings

    of the Branches

    At Once

Let us go at once to entreat the favor of the Lord,

And to seek the Lord of Hosts; I am going.

    Zechariah 8:21 (RSV)

Let us go at once to seek the Lord of Hosts.

King Jesus is He; Sovereign over all the circumstances of our lives.

Let us go immediately to the Lord Jesus when our faith falters in the sorrows we encounter, but would avoid.

Let us go at the same time Jesus calls us to Himself, calls us to follow His Holy Way at the juncture where the world attracts.

Let us go at once to entreat the favor of the Lord in illness, discouragement, depression.

Let us go at once to seek His Lordship in decisions, choices, temptations.

Let us go at once to the Risen Christ in our bereavement when death has kidnapped our loved ones.

Let us go at once to Him who forgives our sins and puts the Balm of Gilead on our wounds to sweeten our failures.

    Let us say each morning:

    "I am going to Jesus.

I have been to the Manger and untied the ribbon of grace on the Gift of Jesus.

I am going to The Cross where He died for me.

I am going to the empty Tomb where my eternal life is assured.

I am going to the Risen Christ who sits at the right hand of the Father ever interceding for me.

Before the day and the world take hold of me,

           I am going.

           At once."

    Amen.

    The Garment of Grace

For it is by grace you have been saved through faith-and this not from yourselves-it is a gift of God

    Ephesians 2:8 (NIV)

    Beloved in the Lord Jesus,

A large box has been delivered on the doorstep of your life.

    Its
