About this ebook

This book is about a young child who, just like every child, is scared of many things when they go to bed. The mother explains to the child that she shouldnt be scared because there is always someone there to protect them even while that person is not there. The childs father is a soldier, like so many in real life, who is gone from time to time. The mother reminds the child that her father will always protect her no matter where he is.

John Edgar James Puddy was born at the Sudbury General Hospital on April 8, 1950. He had a normal childhood in the town of Lively. He dabbled in the music business with some success. Jim got a job in geology at INCO and stayed there seven years. While at the job, Jim married Jan N. He built a house with the help of his brother-in-law Charles N. He left geology and transferred to a job at Process Technology where he was instrumental in developing the Superstack S02 monitoring system. He resigned from INCO in 1982 to head up Northern Micro Computer Company, a Victor dealership, which subsequently went bankrupt. The children included Arin, Ryan, and Chad. While working as a foreman in Dalron’s Commercial, he suffered a head injury and was comatose for three and a half months. This happened on August 15, 1989. Jim got separated from his wife in December 1992, but they continue to have a relationship of mutual trust. Jim is permanently in a wheelchair, but he is not done—as his first children’s book bears witness.
