About this ebook

May you find comfort in knowing that every situation holds a key to learn something! Failure is not the end but the beginning.
These pages aims to give you hope for a better life, to better understand yourself and others. That you dont have to live in fear and doubt with images from past experiences holding you back.
Edith Wharton said: There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it.
I want to be a little candle spreading the light of love for you, the reader. Never allow anyone to make you feel inferior or unworthy.
We are born perfect and in the image of God. We are genetically connected to our family members, so we look like them but we are conditioned to think and react in a certain way because that is the way we were trained to do. This is habits we adopted!
The miracle is that we can train ourselves to change those habits into new better ones by setting goals for ourselves. Visualization makes it possible to manifest anything you want in your life. Belief set the way to achieving that goal. Gratitude holds everything intact.
Live your life to the fullest and live from the possibility of becoming the best you can be!
Henry David Thoreau one time said: If you will endeavour to live the life you have imagined, you will meet with success unexpected in common hours

Anita Engelbrecht

My name is Anita Engelbrecht, born on the 14th of May 1971 and raised in Pretoria, South-Africa. I am the second eldest child of six children. I have two loving parents who always try to give the best that they can to their children and grand children. I was always very shy and kept to myself most of my life. I love animals, therefore always had some kind of pet, especially dogs. I obtained a Bachelors degree in Veterinary Technology after completing a Diploma a few years earlier. My love for animals led me to many work environments in which I could explore and expand my knowledge of animals and wildlife. I love the South-African wildlife and took up photography as a part time income creation and have been fortunate enough to win three prizes this year. I like to sing and have enjoyed art since a very young age. Lifes journey brought very difficult situations my way and I had to learn from those situations in order to be freed from worry, doubt and fear. I only learned from most of those lessons in my adult life and am still learning every day. Forgiveness is very important element in all relationships and the freedom it brings is immeasurable. I strive to make a difference in people and animal lives as much as-and as often as I can. Life is to be enjoyed! We all deserve to have an abundance of all that is beautiful.

    Chapter 1

    Who am I?

My life may have been ordinary to a great extend being the second of six children. I was delivered by a midwife in my grandparent’s house on the 14th of May 1971 in Pretoria, South-Africa. I had asthma for as long as I can remember and was in hospital in an oxygen tent for nearly two weeks when I was about three years old. Almost all my beach vacations consisted of having to visit a doctor because of an asthma attack. It is not a fun exercise to go through, not being able to breathe and the more anxious you get the worse it gets. So I had to learn to try and relax when it happened. Some preservatives in food also triggered an attack. I still avoid certain foods and cold drinks.

I grew up in a very strict home and we did not dare go against what Dad said we should do.
