Our Journey
()
About this ebook
many turns.
Our journey is a collection of poems written in a way that goes
through many aspects of our lives. Either you have experienced
will or seen it happen. Each experience is unique as like the
poetry I have brought to you. I write from many aspects and views
as we all have 2 eyes yet we see so much with them and what we
see is so precious as it is in the moment.
Benjamin Tatanka Dakota
My name is Benjamin Tatanka Dakota. My family is from Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. I was born 10th April 1979. I myself grew up in many places. But since I was young I felt I could see things differently but as I tried to understand them, I lost the magic. Till I got to a point when I was inspired by a simple child’s acceptance of the world. Do to simple acceptance of this great world I could see much more than I could have ever imagined.

The Lone Stranger
As I walk through this life through the valley of pain
I take a look at my life but what do I gain
I treat people the same but what do I get
Nothing but pain and some people fret
All I am is a lone stranger
Riding through life to embrace no danger
Where I go nobody knows
I appear and hide as the wind blows
All I ask is for someone to know me
But all they do is perceive and fear me
I wonder what is it they fear is it I am humane
It is true they class me as insane
They treat me as an outcast but why is that
It is because they fear me as a matter of fact
I will disappear but will I return
Will they want me back is their concern
The Lonesome Dove
All I am is a lonesome dove
Flying high in search of love
Am I on a journey in search of emotion
When I find it will it strengthen my devotion
I soar high I fly low
Anticipating for love to show
Will love appear then disappear
If this is to happen it is my only fear
I search for love here
I search for love there
I am a lonesome dove searching everywhere
Will it bring me heaven I can never tell
My heart is empty but I should never dwell
Life
Hope
All
People
Perceive
In
Needing
Every
Social
Society
Wonderful people are dear to the heart
That is why we should never let them drift apart
For they are always brightening up our days
For caring for others in unusual ways
For helping and giving is a good reason for living
Life is but an endless road
Always feeling love is a load
But always perceiving to be yearning
But never needing to be learning
The past always has significance
Since we learn from our own experience
When will the road appear to finish
Knowing the knowledge will never diminish
A woman is merely a flower
Needing the love of a man to blossom and grow
Children are merely the seed of life
Flowing in the wind
With no significance till they become the flower of life
Father
You were there for me always
But I never realized how much you were
If anything happened you were there
Always caring and understanding
But I never knew why
You taught me what life meant to you
Now I know you are gone
I didn’t realize till it was too late
To understand is our fate
You left this world for a better place
In heaven you are waiting
Watching over me
When my life is done
I shall join you in heaven
And we shall be together again
Like father like son
Love
Love is the emotion that inspires the soul
Without it we feel like an empty shell needing something
But what we need is for love to be truly fulfilled
Life has many turns but love has one direction
When you fall in love you fall for the person not the appearance
But people think What is the difference
You may find many people attractive
But you only fall in love with once and continuously falling
They say that love gives you wings
It makes you achieve amazing things
You fly as if you are in heaven
Never waiting to return but just to be in love
It is better to love and have lost
Than to never love at all
Love is the ultimate power
It is better to perceive than control
I’m so Much in Love
As I sit here writing this to you
All I do is cry because my love for you is true
I wonder why is it you do not perceive
Is it a perfect emotion is hard to believe
If love is a sin then I am guilty
Without your love I will always be lonely
You may think I love you for your appearance
But I love you for who you are your true essence
You may ask why I love you so
Look inside and you will know
I will love you from first sight until eternity
Then you will perceive my heart is for you truly
So here I portray my love to you
Without your love my life is blue
My heart beats for you until I die
My love for you I could never deny
The Love of a Lonely Man
As I walk down this road
Always feeling the heavy load
Here as my stories told to you my love
Always thinking you
