INTRODUCTION
It is my desire that this book will illuminate the thinking of women everywhere and bring them to the understanding that God is truly no respecter of person.
The title, God Speaks To Women, expresses the reality of His Omnipresence. For not only is He present every where at all times but He is also with us in every circumstance and situation.
Because of this we know He has spoken to women in the past, is speaking to women at this present time and will continue to speak to women in times to come. My greatest joy is in knowing that He is speaking to you and me even now. There is a word from the Lord.
I pray that you will find this book to be a blessing as you journey with the Lord and that it will create in you a hunger and thirst for God that will move you to seek His Blessed Face even the more.

ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
I thank God daily for the life He has given me. I realize that every person and experience which has touched my life has contributed to the enrichment and completion of this work. There are, however, several people who I feel deserve special acknowledgment.
I thank my parents, the late Deacon Steve and Sister Edna McAlister for introducing me to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and providing the love, nurturing and godly counsel that has been the foundation of my life. Also for my siblings who are not merely brothers and sisters, but are truly my friends.
I thank my husband Thomas for his love, patience, enthusiasm and overwhelming support during this tedious process, as well as his contribution to chapter 5.
I thank my editor, Valdenia Simmons, for sharing her incredible gift to enhance this project. You have inspired me in ways that you could never imagine.
I am grateful to God for my Pastor, Rev. Dr. Lloyd T. McGriff, his wife Monica and the love and support of the Galilee Church family. It has truly been an honor and privilege to serve such a phenomenal congregation of God’s people.
To all of my clergy sisters who have embraced me in ministry, shared your vineyards with me, nurtured me and allowed me to stand on your shoulders—I love you.
Most of all, I thank God for my children, Michael, Steven, Carrenda, Caressa, Robert, Joshua and David who have shared me with the Body of Christ with love and understanding their entire life. God has given me a great promise concerning all of you. It’s your time now. Continue to walk with God and be blessed.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
My work in this book is dedicated first and foremost to God, and to all of the beautiful, godly ladies in my life!
My Mom, Shirley Simmons; my sisters Gwendolyn, Linda, Angela and Shirah, the sweetest and bravest granddaughter in the whole wide world Naimia, my goddaughters Shami, LaTasha & Olympia; and a host of ladies who cannot be numbered—my aunts, nieces, cousins, sister laborers in ministry and of course my good girlfriends, thank you!
A little of each of you is reflected in every moment spent on this awesome project. I thought about all the times that you have blessed me or I have been used by God to bless you with a word of comfort, compassion, direction or correction. Each of you is so special to me and my ministry. You awe and inspire me; make me laugh; make me think and make me feel like I can do all kinds of great things. Your love and support cannot be expressed or measured in words or deed.
I must add a special thank you to Reverend Stephanie Stratford, my mentor and my friend, for allowing me to be a part of something so personal and dear to you. I am so blessed to be in your overflow! God bless you for sharing with a Sister in the Lord! There is so much more in store for you and your ministry.
I thank God for 26 years of love, growth and ministry with my family at the Galilee Baptist Church. To my Pastor, Reverend Dr. Lloyd T. McGriff, his awesome wife Monica, and the Deaconess Ministry that I am privileged to serve, thank you for your prayers of support and encouragement.
Finally, much of what God says to women is about the men in our lives, so to the guys—my son Jamal who is my pride and joy; my Dad Louis; brothers Louis Jr. and Emery; brothers-in-law Cornelius, Dante and Chuck. In general, the Black male of the species isn’t always shown in the best light in our world today, but I am a witness that there are some wonderful, godly, and loving men in the world. God bless you for caring for me and showing love to my sisters.
Choose joy!

HOW TO USE THE STUDY GUIDE
When you read a book like this one, it is so easy to get excited about all of the new kingdom revelations that you find. Some speak to your spirit in a special way because God meets your needs with tools like this one during the times that you need it most. And like any good meal we want to gobble it up whole just for the immediate satisfaction. However we should always take the time to savor every bite whenever we can. The study guides at the end of each chapter are designed to help you do just that.
When we read the Word of God, we need to find ways to commit it to memory so that we might hide it in our hearts. One proven process is to conduct a scripture by scripture bible study, working through some thought-provoking questions, applying the principles learned to our lives and then committing those thoughts to paper. I guarantee that if you try it in Chapter One, that you’ll find that it helps immeasurably in embedding God’s Word in your mind and spirit.
Committing your words and thoughts to paper is like finding a treasure. When you return to these writings you will see what issues keep popping up in your life, and more importantly you see how God has moved and answered prayer. So if you are encouraged to write directly into this book or start a journal, take the time to write! Commit your revelations, affirmations and prayer requests to paper and the kingdom principles you gather here will become Rhema word—a living, powerful, life changing force.
The components of the study guide and their purpose are:
Memory Verse: Usually the thematic scripture for the chapter. Don’t just commit it to memory, but repeat it, meditate on it, do a word study and take the extra time to read it in context. Take it in so that even when you can’t remember the letter of the law,
you can learn to live the spirit of the Word.
He speaks to encourage you: God wants us to hear His very voice as we read scripture and know that He hears, He knows and He cares about us and our situation.
He speaks to challenge you: God wants us to step up another level and step out in a greater measure of faith when we encounter new truth in His Word. To stay in the same station in life serves only to forfeit the greater blessings and the greater works that God has predestined for your life.
He speaks to change you: The Word of God should renew your heart and mind. Your thinking and actions ought to have more of a kingdom-focus with each and every revelation. God will take you as you are but His will is not to leave you as He found you.
He is speaking to empower you: We have so much untapped power in God. In Jesus, we have resurrection power to rise up out of dead situations. In the Holy Spirit we have supernatural power to do great things in our lives and in the lives of those placed in our circle of influence. In God we have the power of authority to lay claim to everything He has for us. We have authority over sin, situations and Satan. When we study the Word, we have to examine what God is telling us. What new thing are we learning about God’s character, or even our own? The Word tells us that we have power to change things, to speak things into existence and to get up and do more with our lives.
Final Thoughts
A study of God’s Word is like preparing a wonderfully nutritious meal. You can eat the one meal and walk away feeling good about doing something positive for your health. However, change only occurs when you begin eating well on a regular basis. Real benefits come when you add exercise and other lifestyle changes to your daily regimen in addition to eating right. Your good intentions are made of non-effect if you follow your healthy meal with a dessert consisting of a double chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream covered with fudge sauce, wet nuts and a cherry on top!
A study of God’s Word is the same way. Yes, taste and see that the Lord is good,
but making God’s Word a regular part of our daily lives is critical to our growth, development and victorious living. Go deeper into God’s Word so that you can go farther in His Will. Ninety-nine percent of what God wants us to know and to do can be found in His Word. The more Word that we have in us, the easier it is to hear His voice of instruction for the other one percent.
As God
