About this ebook

This book Fruitful Prayers is a prayer manual written to guide us as we pray to avoid vain repetitions and wrong warfare prayers whereby most people pray for the death of the devil and enemies. We need to pray in wisdom, forgiving those that have offended us and not pray for their deaths because the bible says we should pray for our enemies and those who use us, should also forgive those who offended us as God forgives us our sins.
God sent His Son to die for our sins and all He wants to do is see that we are saved and that we do not perish. Fruitful Prayers will give you guidelines on how to pray in humility, with a good heart, with faith and an expectant and compassionate heart etc and God will answer you.

    What is Prayer?

Prayer is an act of worship and communion with God. It also means fellowshipping with God.

Through prayers we establish a relationship with God, whereby we speak to Him and He speaks to us.

We are commanded to pray without ceasing, 1 Thessalonians 5:17

Prayers were first mentioned in Genesis 4:26 . . . . and as for Seth, to Him also a son was born; and he named him Enosh, then men began to call on the Lord.

    How do you pray?

You should pray with a kind and compassionate heart, there is no particular posture, in the bible some people pray on their knees, 1 Kings 8:45, bowing, Exodus 4:32, on their faces before God, 2 Chronicles 20:18; Matthew 26: 39 and standing 1 Kings 8:22.

Prayer helps us grow closer and more intimately with God and it is obedience to the Lord’s instruction for us to pray.

Prayer breaks off our communion with the world and establishes us in communion with God.

Prayer releases our eyes from our troubles to focus our eyes on God for solutions.

Prayer makes us humble and dependent on God as we look unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. Psalm 62:5-8 NKJV can be personalised to show our dependence on God . . . . My soul wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defence; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory; the rock of my strength and my refuge, is in God. Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.

Prayer lets Gods people live with an upward look instead of being captive to the outward look

Prayerfulness gives God’s people a different look at their challenges than the worldly and prayer less people.

The Psalmist has a relationship with God that expresses in his prayers to God, he calls upon God, he looks towards the Lord, in Psalm 18:1-3 NKJV

I will love you, O Lord, my strength, The Lord is my Rock and my Fortress and my Deliverer; My God, my Strength, in whom I will trust; My Shield and the horn of my Salvation, my Stronghold.

I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies.

God is our source for all that we need spiritually, physically and emotionally, in Matthew 7:7-8 He wants us to ask and it shall be given, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you: verse 8 for everyone who asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

God wants us to pray with a caring and merciful heart because the prayer of a sinner is abomination to God, when we pray we expect an answer from God whom we have not seen, why can’t we be kind towards our fellow men as we can see from Matthew 7:9-12 KJV . . . . or what man is there of you, whom if his son asks bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask Him? Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you do
