Being Human
Being human,
Is certainly not easy.
There are some things in life,
That make me feel queasy.
The things that we do,
And the way that we act,
Is never simple,
You will always find lack.
There is a lot I understand,
And way more I don’t.
If you want me to believe
you know everything,
Well I’m sorry, I won’t.
I will shine my light,
And I will be me.
If you choose not to see it,
Then you can’t blame me.
You can stand by your values,
And to yourself be true,
Or you can succumb to the darkness,
And be a lesser you.
It’s easy to fall,
And hard to be strong.
You can get caught in a storm,
And often do wrong.
Yes, being human is often frightening.
But learning from your mistakes,
Is always enlightening!

I am trying to find my own way,
In a world where I must stay.
Fighting through the darkness.
Dealing with all the hardness.
