      This book is dedicated to God who brought my family and me through many dangers, toils and snares. He never left us or abandoned us. He was always in the deepest darkness we walked through. He crossed over ahead and led us safely through.

      When life hits a wall, when things come crashing down around you, when your hopes and dreams are shattered, you need Jericho faith. Believe me I have been there! No one could have prepared me for the onslaught of trouble that plagued our family. Just when we thought we were through the worst, another shock wave would send us reeling. There were times I almost lost faith. There were days I couldn’t even pray. There were times I found myself face down on the floor, barely able to speak the words God help! If You do not help us, all hope is lost!

      We were a family who had dedicated our lives to following and serving God. How then, could so many trials come our way? Had we sinned against God? Were our efforts to serve Him all in vain? Was this a punishment or a test of faith?

      God never intended for the hurts of this world to bring us so low. In James it says to count it a great joy when you encounter various trials. Could it really be that we can experience joy, great joy, in the darkest times of life? God intends victory in every situation for His children.
