About this ebook

Joshua and the Lamb is about the circle of life and the lasting impact of childhood memories. Joshua is a prince in the kingdom of a faraway land. The only child of a king and queen, Prince Joshua always dreamed of having brothers and sisters. When he was a little boy, he found comfort and happiness with a little stuffed lamb. The lamb was his best friend, and they spent all their time together. But as all children do, Prince Joshua grows up and leaves childhood things behind.

Carlin Hawes

In her early years, Carlin lived on her grandparents’ farm in Maceo, Kentucky, where she developed her love of animals, especially cats. After moving away, she visited her grandparents on the farm often and discovered a passion for reading and writing poetry. In 1991 Carlin graduated from Austin Peay State University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She worked in the field of psychology until 1994, when her son Joshua was born. For five years she was blessed to be able to be a stay-at-home mom. During that time, she discovered a love of running. In 1996 she completed her first of many 10K races. Three years later, Carlin earned a master’s degree in health and human performance and went to work at the YMCA of Middle Tennessee, where she enjoyed sharing her love of fitness with others and embraced the mission of always striving to grow in spirit, mind, and body. In 2012 she published her first children’s book, Abigail’s Bunny, and completed her second half marathon. Carlin continues to work in the health and wellness field and spends her free time scrapbooking and enjoying time with her family and friends.
