About this ebook

As a college professor, ordained minister, and corporate trainer there have been many opportunities to communicate with both Christians and non-Christians alike about overcoming obstacles to success in both the business arena, our local churches, and in our homes. Unfortunately, many saved persons do not testify about their own deliverance from a life of sin and despair to a life of joy and peace through Jesus Christ.
Recently after I had given my testimony at a local church here in Indianapolis, a fellow minister stood up and said all of us have stories of deliverance we just dont tell others. He then began to detail some of his lifes experiences.
I have discovered that many of us can become upset with God because we somehow think that we are the only persons that deal with problems. These issues can range from, alcohol abuse, drug addiction, premarital sex, and unemployment to periods of time in which we struggle with our faith.
It is my desire that you will use this book as a tool to not just encourage yourselves but to encourage others who are going through difficult times. I hope that you enjoy reading this book and my sincere prayer is that it will bless you on your path to victorious living.

Thomas Randolph Wood, Jr

Thomas Wood accepted Jesus Christ at the age of ten. Not long after being saved, he felt a calling to minister the gospel. In 1982 Thomas accepted his calling to ministry and was licensed as a minister in the Church of God In Christ (COGIC). During this time he taught the Young People and Willing Workers Bible study (YPWW), Wednesday night Bible study, and Sunday school. In 1987 Thomas was ordained as a minister at the Church of The Living God and Saints of Christ in Indianapolis, Indiana. At that time Thomas also started a radio ministry that was broadcast from Greencastle, Indiana. Feeling a deep concern for the youth in the Haughville area of Indianapolis, Thomas accepted a position as youth minister at that same church. Since that time he has developed and taught several Bible studies and has been very active in youth ministry. Thomas is presently a member of the Pastoral Care Team at a local church in Indianapolis. He is married to LaShuan Wood, and they have two children. Thomas serves as adjunct faculty, teaching both on-site and on-line classes. A listing of classes taught would include: managerial finance, management, managerial ethics, strategic management, organizational behavior, communication, professional communication and computers, and information processing. He also teaches shop math, metrics, geometric dimensioning and tolerance, Excel, PowerPoint, computer introduction, gauging fundamentals and layout, blueprint reading, introduction to gas turbines, and a class titled intermediate gas turbines. Thomas has worked or trained in the aviation industry for over thirty years and has done jobs ranging from parts inspector, cleaning room attendant, machinist, flight line mechanic, and experimental test mechanic to field maintenance of aerospace engines and components. He has earned and maintains both a Federal Aviation Administration Airframe and Power Plant certification and is a Skilled Trades Journeyman Experimental Test Layout and Assemblyperson. He has earned an Associate of Science degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology, a Bachelor of Science degree in Business administration, along with a Master of Science degree in management and a Ph.D. in engineering management. Thomas has also published two other books. They are titled, MORE THAN CONQUERORS: FIVE PRINCIPLES OF SUCCESS, and MORE THAN CONQUERORS II: THEY THAT ARE WITH US.

    An Affirmation

The moment that we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord we receive the Holy Spirit. We also become a member of the family of Christ and our lives should demonstrate a continued fulfillment of the promises made to Abraham several centuries ago by God himself.

Let me repeat, we are blessed, and not cursed. We are victors, not victims. We are royalty and highly favored by God. We have dominion power, and dominion authority on
