About this ebook

"But I want you to know brethren that the things which happened to me have actually turned out for the furtherance of the Gospel. So that it had become evident to the whole palace guard and to all the rest that my chains are in Christ. And most of the brethren in the Lord, having become confident by my chains are much more bold to speak the word without Fear".

Pastor and apostle Aaron Machaya is an ex bank manager who started responding to his calling at the age of 10 by preaching to birds and baboons as he watched over his father’s fields. He became a very active Sunday school student, singer and drama actor, a youth leader at provincial and national level and Deacon in the AFM church before he moved to Awake Grace Ministries international in 1992.From 1992 he served as a spiritual leader/elder and became a pastor in 1995. In August 1997 he founded the New Covenant Apostolic Ministries International, a ministry with a message of restoration, after resisting the calling for one year. He resigned from bank employment in 2003 into full time ministry which has grown to 40 assemblies spread mainly in Zimbabwe, Mozambique, South Africa, Botswana and United Kingdom. Pastor and Apostle Aaron Machaya strongly believes in the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the five fold ministries given by God, for the strengthening of the body of Christ and that New Covenant Apostolic Ministries International is part of the body of Christ, serving its calling together with many other churches.

Let it happen for a miracle to happen is a message inspired by the Holy Spirit to Pastor Aaron Machaya, based on, Philippians chapter 1 verse 12.

But I want you to know brethren that the things which happened to me have actually turned out for the furtherance of the Gospel. 13 So that it had become evident to the whole palace guard and to all the rest that my chains are in Christ. 14 And most of the brethren in the Lord, having become confident by my chains are much more bold to speak the word without Fear.

    Persecutions

It was in 2003, when the Holy Spirit inspired me to preach a message titled, LET IT HAPPEN FOR A MIRACLE TO HAPPEN, based on Apostle Paul’s letter to the church he found during his 1st Roman imprisonment around AD61, Paul instructed the believers that persecutions are part of the gospel of Christ and therefore the church and believers are called to stand the heat and cost of this high calling faithfully. He wrote, Philippians 1 verse 12 "But I want you to know, brethren, that the things which happened to me have actually turned out for the furtherance of the Gospel. 13 So that it had become evident to the whole palace guard and to all the rest, that my chains are in Christ. 14 and most of the brethren in the lord, having become confident by my chains, are much more bold to speak the word without fear".

In the book of Acts chapter 16 from verse 16 to 46, the account of Paul and Silas’s imprisonment is given. Verse 16 states "Now it happened, as we went to pray that a certain slave girl possessed with a spirit of divination met us, who brought her masters much profit by fortune-telling. Verse 22 Then the multitude rose up together against them, and the magistrates tore off their clothes, and commanded them to be beaten with rods." Paul’s message to the church which supported him very much during his imprisonment is that his persecution was a blessing in disguise because it helped him found the Philippian Church. All the persecution that happened to Paul i.e., the false accusations, being dragged to the courts, the beatings and the imprisonment which was heard by many as negative news became positive news of a chain of testimonies when God turned the tables upside down.

Persecutions must not be feared and believers must not run away from them. Every believer must be ready to endure the hardships of this holy calling and must have faith and be prayerful always and face persecutions head on. If Paul and Silas had not met this possessed girl, nothing was going to happen, and if the girl had not mocked Paul and Silas daily, they could not have casted out the demon. All those who believe must be ready to meet challenges, persecutions, in this spiritual journey and exercise faith and power of prayer for miracles to happen. Let things happen but rise up and boldly challenge every ungodly thing and convert it into a miracle. Where there are no challenges and persecutions there are no miracles and testimonies.

When the demon was cast out, the masters were provoked due to loss of profits the girl brought in from fortune telling. This explains the reason why you suffer persecutions daily as a follower of Christ. The devil sees you as a rebel, one who has brought him much loss in his kingdom when you became a child of God. The devil also notices the good news, your lifestyle, your prayers and your teachings etc. which is working against his kingdom of darkness. The devil fights day and night against believers, leaders and pastors to stop them causing much loss in his kingdom. Paul and Silas were beaten severely and thrown into prison and this explains why you have scars, bleeding wounds, pressures and different types of persecutions around you and the whole world of today.

When you are undergoing persecution and challenges of life, its not a time to fear, cry or being naive but it is a time to sing songs of praise and pray, no matter how dark it may appear. Paul and Silas at midnight started singing and praising God, Acts 16 from verse 25 But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. 26 Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken;and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed. As from today use the weapon of praise and worshipping God to overcome the persecutions and challenges you are facing. It’s never too late and too dark to experience a miracle. At midnight a miracle happened as Paul and Silas sang hymns of praise and today is your day that the Lord has made, rejoice and be glad in it. A spiritual earthquake is going to happen in your situation, whatever it is and all the foundations and chains of your problems are going to be shaken and broken by the anointing of God which comes down when praises and worshipping has been made upon him. All doors were opened by God only after Paul and Silas had faced the persecutions, endured them and challenged them by praising and worshipping. Miracles are not happening because believers and the church are always running away or avoiding challenges. In the case of Paul and Silas the persecution caused the Philippian church to be planted, the Philippian jailer and his family repented and even those in authority, the Magistrate, heard the word of God. In his letter to the Philippians, Paul clearly states that even other believers, preachers and Apostles were now preaching the word of God with boldness because of what had happened,
