Meditations and Muses: A Book of Guided Meditations and Spiritual Writings

About this ebook
I have been guided to work mainly with the earth vibrations, the things that go unseen in our busy daily lives.
I find that being in nature, laying on your back watching the clouds, watching the bees on a lavender bush, or really listening to birdsong can raise my vibrations to allow me to enter a meditative state.
I have used nature in my guided meditations, to allow you to capture these things. To raise your vibrations and allow your own inner selves to take over; taking you to a higher level of consciousness.
I have also included a few of my poems and muses which are of a spiritual nature.
I hope you enjoy my small contribution to the light work that is taking place all around the world.
THANKS
I would like to give my thanks to my wonderful teacher Carrie, who has been an inspiration to me through my struggle to become more spiritual.
Polly Paice
I am 65 years of age, and I am an everyday housewife and mother. I have two wonderful children and two beautiful grandchildren. Since I was a young child, you would always find me with my head buried in a book. I was fascinated by words, and how they could bring things alive for me. I started to write poetry when I was quite young, and had my one of my poems published in our school magazine, which was many moons ago. I then had quite a long period when writing took a back seat, and it was not until my early fifties, that I felt inspired to write again, it is since than that I have written most of my poems.

A walk in the jungle
Relax, breathe slowly and deeply, and let all your muscles relax. If you have any aches, or maybe and itch, just acknowledge it and continue breathing. Any noises from outside, just acknowledge them and continue breathing. If you mind has busy thoughts, just acknowledge them and concentrate on your breathing. Imagine a soft white light surrounding you, breathe in this light. Breathe this light down into your feet, feel the light glow down through the soles of your feet, right down into the earth to anchor you to the earth. Breathe the light into your legs, feel them grow heavy and sink into the chair. Breathe the light into your body feel it grow heavier as you sink deeper and deeper into peace. Breathe the light into your arms, and feel them grow heavy and relaxed. Breathe the light into your head and let the light surround your head like a halo, filling it with light. Let this light float upward from the crown of your head, upwards and upwards until you connect from the earth to the light; as you sink deeper and deeper, bathed in light.
You see a doorway before you; you open it and step through. You find yourself on a journey through a dense jungle. You pick your way through ferns as tall as a man, large scarlet flowers burst form moss covered trees. The humid heat forms droplets of water on the vegetation, showering you as you brush past. Cooling you so that you do not feel hot.
Around you, you can feel a multitude of insects buzzing about their daily business. Vibrant birds fly between the trees, joining in the chorus around them. Coloured butterflies as large as your hand flutter in clouds around you. Sunbeams shine through the trees and catch the droplets of moisture, sending rainbows around the jungle floor.
Close your eyes, Now what can you smell? The soft musty smell of the damp jungle floor, the smell of water droplets on the nearby leaves, the deep fragrant smell of the flowers.
What can you feel? The humid air, damp on your face, a hot breeze caressing your hair. A ray of sunlight tingling on your body. The touch of insect wings as they brush your face. Cool drops of water as they fall from the vegetation, the soft kiss of butterfly wings.
Now in your imagination, open your eyes and look around you. See the delicate feathery fronds of the ferns, the vivid scarlet trumpet flowers, inside are black stamens, dusted with yellow pollen. You wonder at the vivid blue humming bird as it sucks the pollen, seemingly suspended in mid air. Your eyes wander to the trees, which are covered in moss like green candy floss. You see around the trees, the busy insects like a snowstorm caught in a beam of light. Clouds of coloured butterflies drift in unison from bush to flower, and up into the canopy of trees. You look at the multishades of green, speckled with the occasional blue of the sky and studded with vibrant colours of the many birds which fly from tree to tree. Your gaze falls, and finally settles on the drops of moisture dropping from the trees, catching the sunlight, and spreading rainbows on the jungle floor.
This jungle is so full of life and vibrant energy. Let us share this energy, absorb every sensation of sight, touch, smell and sound. Breathe it in and let it fill you and surround you. Feel it revitalizing you, strengthening you. Feel it suffusing your body with its vibrant energy… .
When you have absorbed your fill, you find your way back through the jungle to the doorway, you go through the door, and gradually become aware of the seat or floor you are sitting on, slowly start to move your fingers and toes, and slowly, when you are ready bring yourself back into the room, becoming fully aware
