PART ONE: WHERE I’M COMING FROM
Chapter One: My Call to Adventure
I believe that the key to success is knowing how to both strive for a lot and fail well.
Dalio begins by telling us about his personal journey through life, something that he admittedly worries about because he doesn’t want his personal life to distract too much from the principles that he is trying to teach the reader. He felt that it was only fair he give people the knowledge to help themselves in the way that he had helped himself. While it might prove distracting to some, his personal life journey would help readers understand him. It would also show how the principles system came to fruition in his mind and how he has used them for great success over the course of his life.
