About this ebook

This is a supernatural fantasy tale about a very special little girl called Anna who lived in a large Manor house by the woods, with her Mum, Dad, two dogs and.... 3 goblins!
Anna could talk to animals and see supernatural creatures like goblins, fairies and other strange creatures.
The goblins who live hidden in the basement of the old Manor house were always up to mischief. They hated that Anna could see them & would get up to all kinds of tricks to drive Anna and her family away.
No one believed Anna when she said that the goblins were the troublemakers, they thought that she was just a naughty little girl making up stories.
Anna's dog, a snowy white pup called Casper felt so sorry for Anna, he knew that she was a kind girl and would never do anything nasty to anyone.
He knows about the mischievous goblins and tries his best to help her. But Casper's Mum Lilly doesn't want him to interfere with them, she knows that goblins can be very nasty if you mess around with their plans.
Lilly also had a big secret, her family was descended from the Wolfgrim, white wolves and fierce warriors are sworn to defend against evil supernatural creatures. She was desperate to keep Casper's secret safe until he was old enough to become a Wolfgrim warrior.
Unknowing, the goblins try to stop Anna and Casper from further interfering with their evil plans...

    Chapter 1

    ––––––––

Mrs Posh pulled her silver car into the drive of Flitvale Manor. Sensing a warm air thick with the scents of summer flowers and the gentle, soothing whispers of insects flying across the fields from the woods behind, she happily stepped from her car walking up the pebbled drive to the front door and unlocking it carefully.

Anna! Anna, she called out to her six-year-old daughter, as she greeted two snowy white dogs Casper and his mum Lilly, receiving a tail-wag from both. 'Ahhh! She gave a deep sigh of satisfaction, knowing Casper would always look after her Anna.

Breathlessly carrying two heavy shopping bags, she placed them down on the wooden table top. Just then, Anna ran into the kitchen, a huge smile lighting up her pale face, as she held an ice-cream cone in her tiny hand. Mr Posh followed closely behind her holding a box of cones.

Best put these in the freezer! Before they melt. He cleared his throat and opened the freezer door with his scrawny fingers.

Oh, before the goblins eat them! said Anna chuckling and getting wisps off her brown curls into the strawberry ice-cream.

Now, Anna...no more lies! said Mrs Posh. Her bird-like dark eyes staring hard at Anna.

Casper and Lilly believe me. Anna groaned, taking her hair out of the ice cream and giving the cone another lick.

Whoof! Whoof! barked Casper and Lilly.

Anna...No more lies, -—goblins do not exist! Mrs Posh shouted. Anna glanced up at her mum's red-face, her hands trembled, worried her mum would have a heart attack, upset she ran out of the kitchen clasping her cone tightly with Casper following at her heels.

Sometimes I wish I didn’t have special powers to see creatures or talk to animals, she cried.

Anna, do not worry; we just have to ask the Goblins to leave the manor! Casper led the way to the dark, creepy basement, the den of the goblins.

The goblins in the basement were being very good. Anna and Casper got closer to the basement, The closer they got, Anna could not help the emptiness feeling in the pit of her stomach. The closer she got to the basement the more she felt like turning around and running away.

I’m so happy you are here with me Casper! here tiny fingers curling and uncurling as they move towards the door. She will always be grateful for Casper
