About this ebook

From the author of Carrie's Story comes the continuing tale of a young woman’s uncompromising sexual adventure. Carrie leaves Jonathan, the S/M master who initiated her into a life of slave auctions, training regimes, and human “ponies” preening for dressage competitions. Whisked away to Greece by the demanding gentleman who has chosen her as his own, she learns new, more rigorous methods of sexual pleasure.

Not as good as the previous book, and much too short. It takes Carrie from her sale to the end of her term of service. She goes to meet her former owner and the story is told by each taking turns to tell what their life has been like during her time away. While it is interesting to have both master and slave tell stories, it really doesn't leave Carrie much time to re-live her time in Greece. The result is a rather pallid book in terms of the erotic content. The addition towards the end of a mystery character is also not satisfying. The ending appears to confuse some who miss the point that Carrie has now become a more focused Jonathan.

This book is labeled as "An Erotic S/M Novel" but it was more like an anthropological look into the world of S&M. I suspect I was awarded this ER book since I read the Shades of Grey series, which is also why I requested it, but Safe Word was completely different: the writing was much better, but the "sex" scenes were much tamer. I kept reading because it was a horrible car crash from which I couldn't look away, but I would not call this book steamy in the least. Just really didn't do it for me as either erotica or fiction.

I received a free copy from the LibraryThing Early Reader giveaway.I enjoyed reading from Carrie's point of view. I did not like reading from Jonathan's point of view. The book was a lot better written then most erotic stories I've encountered. I would recommend it to those who like reading this type of a book.

This book was very hard to get through. It was well written. I did like the way Weatherfield went back and forth in the telling of the story. Unfortunately, the subject matter was way to intense for my liking. I am definitely a lover of romance and erotica, but the S/M lifestyle is too much for me.

I received this book from LibraryThing as an early review in exchange for my honest review. Uhhhh! I usually love these kind of books! This one was hard to get through. The stories would be interesting if they had been given enough time to actually tell it! It's like you got into a scene and it would end. I loved the idea of the book, but I don't think that the author gave the story the time it needed to become what it should've been.

Disclaimer: I received this book from LibraryThing's Early Reviewer program in exchange for a fair and honest review. This is a continuation of Carrie's Story and, while it keeps the storyline going, I enjoyed Carrie's Story much more.Safe Word flips between two different point of views, Carrie's and Jonathan's. I typically find books written this way distracting in that they tend to pull you out of the story instead of bringing you deeper in. While I experienced the same thing with this book, it wasn't as defined as it had been in other books written this way.Without giving too much of the storyline away, the situations and descriptions in the book are well written and allow the reader to visualize what is going on. I would recommend this to anyone who has read Carrie's Story.

Safe Word picks up right where Carrie's Story left off. It is the continuing story of Carrie and Johnathan. One note that some may find troubling is that it switches perspective back and forth between the two. This didn't effect the story for me. I found Safe Word to be very well written erotcia and would look forward to reading the forthcoming works of Mrs. Weatherfield
