The Re-Creator: Foundation
()
About this ebook
Some years ago, a Spiritualist church approached me about doing a workshop on positive thinking. This may have had something to do with my having to deal with a cognitive disability. After recovering from the initial shock of no longer able to be as active as before, I set about making changes – adapting to something else. This had nothing to do with thinking positively, but more about changing how I think.
This is the last chapter in the Re-Creator series. In this booklet, we impress upon you, and others the need for support. This is something our culture overlooks. The motto we are conditioned to is be number one, just do it, and no pain no gain is just a few of clichés we are bombarded with. Combine this with the stigma of seeking help for our wellbeing, we are often left in a quandary. Though some of us are fortunate to be able to hold our counsel, others are not as well equipped. Our purpose is to encourage others to seek our family, friends, therapists, ministers, or a stranger to help them through mental and emotional difficulty.
While this focuses on my disability, I like to believe this may be useful to others regardless of their physical or mental conditions. All that is required is desire and commitment. Without these, everything else is wishful thinking.

Everyone should have a purpose in life or a passion to fuel their creativity. Phillip's is to serve and to help others. No one should have to fumble through life as I did. Everyone should have some form of support.Phillip is a certified Life coach, a spiritual teacher, and a facilitator of art classes for senior citizens. He has also earned a BA in Psychology from the University of Phoenix and has been a resident in Southwest Michigan for most of his life. Before that, he was just like many others with questions and no means of getting answers because he was taught how to find them.Phillip’s fortieth year was celebrated with a life changing event that took him out of the workforce. No clear diagnosis was given, only suspicions and a worthless diagnosis: conversion disorder. Through his own efforts, Phillip sought a means to improve his situation. Many of his writings are based upon experience. The strategies building a better life are discussed in the Re-Creator series and the methods of attracting beneficial circumstances and events that are explained in the Creation by Design series. Its not just fantasy, its real. The saying is, all myths contain some amount of truth. Even a lie is based upon some amount of truth. Research is something Phillip enjoys, particularly when he finds connections between the world of science and the realm of occult science. This is where he finds inspiration to write and fulfills a need to share these discoveries with any who are interested. Sometimes the discoveries inspire his art too.As part of his desire to serve, he facilitates art classes at different senior centers, serves as pastor at the First Spiritual Church of Prayer, 3511 Vine St. South Bend, IN, operates the Spiritualist Circle of Light online, serves the Independent Spiritualist Association, hosts YouTube channels for First Spiritual Church of Prayer, Spiritualist Circle of Light, and Bird in Sky Guide. Longevity is found in novel experiences and enriching activities.

The most important thing people overlook is the need for support. Our society is based on individualism. In translation, we are on our own. The survival of the fittest mentality is very exclusive. Frans De Waal, in his The Age of Empathy, relates a story about a tribe of orangutans. As is typical now, animals raid the dumpsters as often as people. On this occasion, the tribe came across some spoiled meat. The alpha males, also the leaders, consumed the largest amount. Of course, all that ate the meat became sick. The alpha males even more so and because of their tendency to abuse the lesser members of the tribe, were left to suffer. Those males that had established social ties were cared for by the females. Due to that lack of support, the alpha males died. When the tribe reformed, leadership was spread out. Any new males that did not comply with the new rules were put out. In this last section, we explore the need for social support, whether it comes from friends, family, or purchased through services.

December is usually a cold month in Michigan as the winter settles in. Temperatures ease into the mid-thirties and the restorative properties of rain become flakes of melancholy blanketing the ground. Trucks had snowplows hanging on them like nose
