      Dedication

      This book is dedicated to all Christians who need a reminder of their true identity in Jesus.

      Introduction

      I began writing this book in May of 2017, but I laid it aside to publish Every Day is a Gift. Finally after many months, I was able to turn my attention back to this book. I am so glad that things turned out the way they did. Much like our lives as Christians, this book has been redeemed, which also means that this book’s new identity is much better than its old one.

      If you are like me, then maybe you struggle with negative thoughts. Maybe you can easily feel down when life takes a wrong turn. Or maybe daily life is just plain hard. Anyone out there raising their hand? Whatever the case may be, I think you will be able to get some truth out of this book.

      I wrote this book as much for myself as for you. I feel that Christians are missing the boat in so many situations in life. We allow obstacles to define our path. We let our past hold us hostage. And we never truly tap into our true identity in Jesus.

      In this book you will find thirty short chapters, each focused on your true identity. There will be a Bible verse that corresponds with each chapter, because the Bible is our ultimate source of truth. Also with each segment you will find a prayer that coincides with the truth that you read for the day. The prayer is a starting place. Please feel free to expand in your own prayer time with the Lord. And finally, you will find a Your Words Have Power section. This is an affirmation that you can ponder throughout the day, based on the Bible verse.

      I hope this book brings you a bit of inspiration and encouragement as you make your way through it. Now let’s get started!
