The ravenous desire of the new settlers in claiming the land coupled with diseases that they got from the immigrants to which they weren’t acquired immunity, the Natives began to loss whatever they were endeared. While the thirsty settlers and miners tried to abduct the natives from their own land, the chiefs or leaders of the tribes fought vigorously or peacefully to make sure the rights of their people.       WHO ARE THE NATIVE AMERICANS?

      The Native Americans were the predominant people in the United States before the arrival of the colonists. They are the descendants from the pre-Columbian population and nourished as a number of tribes and ethnic groups within the modern boundaries of the country. During the migration of Europeans to the Americas, the inborn cultures of the two that is of the immigrants and the natives varied utterly. The Native societal system was more based on matrilineal lineage and they retained land and hunting grounds for the use of the entire tribe. While the Europeans at that time were more inclined in the patriarchal line and were used to individual property rights in the case of ownership of lands. These characteristic diversities between the then established Natives and the migrated Europeans were enough to create extensive tensions and political wars. The ravenous desire of the new settlers in claiming the land coupled with diseases that they got from the immigrants to which they weren’t acquired immunity, the Natives began to loss whatever they were endeared. While the thirsty settlers and miners tried to abduct the natives from their own land, the chiefs or leaders of the tribes fought vigorously or peacefully to make sure the rights of their people. As an honor for such heroes, let’s delve into the passionate words of these chiefs of the Native American tribes…

      The history of the natives were both fascinating and at the same time a lot more tragic. It is estimated that around 100 million native poelpe were inhabiting in the continent before tha arrival of the Europeans and it was their land for many years. Thousands of years before the entry of Columbus’s ship to America, there was another group of people who explored the land. It was the ancient Nomadic ancestors of the current Native Americans who journeyed across the Bering land bridge, from Asia into Alaska during the Ice age. Slowly they migrated through the land to Mexico and beyond. They were first named Indians by Christopher Columbus who mistook the land he reached was India.

      As they drifted through different regions, there evolved to many tribes and nations. They adapted to the peculiar conditions where they lived and utilized the land and resourcces wisely. More than using, they worshipped the land and its assets.
