    Chapter 1

Dark thunder clouds rolled in overhead, and Anna shivered, she didn't like storms, she never had! I remember the times that I would run to my uncle John. She smiled at the memory, she had been so scared of the booming thunder and wailing wind but he had always managed to make her feel better, he still did, she felt safe when he was around. Of course he wasn’t her real uncle, her parents hadn’t had any brothers or sisters, not even cousins. So after the accident that had taken them so dramatically away she had been completely alone, and that is when the man she had always called Uncle stepped in and took control of her life.
