    A shock diagnosis on the tarmac in Los Angeles. Mother of two, Nicole McMahon was diagnosed with breast cancer on the plane after a 14 hour flight from Australia. Instead of starting Christmas holidays, she and her girls caught the same plane home to begin a battle for life. Despite being checked over several years for a lump that bothered her, Nicole kept getting the all clear. Until now. By the time the cancer was found, it had grown to 7cm.

    This is an insight into one woman’s journey. One perspective of diagnosis and through treatment, while trying to remain positive throughout. She shares her fears, as she battles through the conveyor belt of treatment.

    With 18,000 people to be diagnosed in Australia in 2018, it is a must read for those going through the journey, or those supporting a loved one. By sharing her story, Nicole hopes to provide a positive outlook for others. More importantly, she wants to raise awareness so that others can get diagnosed early. Early diagnosis of breast cancer leads to an excellent chance of survival.

    No one expects to get a cancer diagnosis. Nicole didn’t.
