    Paul writes in Romans: "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek" (Romans 1:16).

    This scripture confirms "the gospel of Christ" is "the power of God." It is the way, the means, and the currency by which one may enter the throne of God to obtain mercy.

    We have been given a treasure box called "salvation," which is full of blessings and the providence of Christ. All we need to do is tap into it and enjoy.

    Unfortunately, we do not enjoy all that Christ has attained for us through His precious blood. We often try so hard to live this life as a Christian instead of believing in the Son of God, surrendering to His Lordship, and enjoying all the privileges that brings us.

    We need no new revelations or some kind of mystical vision to find the answer. The Word of God is clear, and without a shadow of doubt, dictates how one should live this life on this earth.

    My goal in this book—by the grace of God—is to analyze the Word and reveal the answers to these crucial questions.

    Walking in the Power of God should be a WAY of LIFE for every believer. But the million-dollar question so many people grapple with is, How do I do that? We believe in Jesus Christ and His finished work at Calvary for our salvation, of course, but then we find ourselves unable to tap into the power of God in our daily lives.  

    MANY DIFFERENT PILLS and false solutions exist in the world, and they’re constantly being promoted and preached. But one must always remember: All the answers God wants us to have are already in the Bible. Remember, the ordained, prescribed way of the Lord for a victorious life in Christ appears in the Bible. We need no new revelations or mystical visions to find the answer. The Word of God is clear, and without a shadow of doubt, it dictates how one should LIVE this LIFE.

    My goal with this book—by the grace of God—is to analyze the Word and show the answer to this crucial question in the life of every believer.

    I heard a story that I think accurately portrays the lives of many believers. It concerned a couple who saved money for almost three years, in order to go on a cruise to one of their favourite destinations.

    They worked hard and struggled mightily to save just enough to purchase the most inexpensive ticket available for this five-day vacation. When they got to their room on the lowest deck of the ship, it was indeed quite small. Still, they were so excited and happy that they had managed to take their dream trip.

    This journey of a lifetime they had been longing for and dreaming about for so long had finally arrived. When it begun, they enjoyed every moment. On the fourth day, an employee of the cruise line happened to walk by their room. Seeing them eating dried fruit and bread, he asked if they were on a special diet.

    Oh, no, the woman replied. It’s because we had only enough money to buy the tickets that we’re being so frugal and eating this way.

    The employee felt sorry for them. "But your ticket includes all the food, beverages, and other privileges for the entire week."

    Imagine the shock, disappointment, and sadness the couple must have experienced at hearing this news. They could have been enjoying all the gourmet food being served in the dining room and snack bar—as well as the portable buffets—whenever they wanted.

    Only then did the couple realize their ignorance, and how they hadn’t thought to ask more about what was included on the cruise before their departure. They did not fully understand all the privileges that came with the ticket they had purchased. They had been eating dried fruit and other meager provisions for several days, when all the while, they’d had free access to a banquet of rich, delicious food—all they could have wanted.

    Unfortunately, this is the case with many Christians. We simply do not partake in all that Christ has purchased for us through His precious blood. We often try so hard to live this life as a Christian, instead of just believing in the Son of God, surrendering to His Lordship, and enjoying all the privileges that that brings us.

    God’s ways are always higher than ours. Our human mind cannot fathom the ways of the Lord. We do not see the big picture, and we are unable to see the end of the road. But God knows all things. He is the alpha and omega, the first and the last. There is nothing above Him or below Him, and we have been given a treasure box called salvation, which is full of blessings and the providence of Christ.

    All we need to do is tap into it and enjoy.

    Paul writes in Romans: For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:16; emphasis added).

    This scripture confirms the gospel of Christ is truly the power of God. It is the way, the means, and the currency by which one may enter the throne of God to obtain mercy.

    When Paul wrote about the gospel of Christ, he was not referring to all the teachings and preaching of Christ, but one in particular. In Paul’s teachings, the gospel of Christ is the Word of God. It is the story of redemption and salvation, and involves Jesus, His birth, His miracles, His sacrificial death. and His resurrection.

    In summary, the gospel of Christ is the preaching of Christ and Him crucified unto our salvation and life. (1 Corinthians 1:18). It is preaching not any preaching but preaching Christ and the Cross as the only way of truth, life, and power, and the solution to all human problems, sins, addictions, thirstiness, hunger, and sickness.

    LET US DIVIDE THE PHRASE, "it is the Power of God" (Romans 1:16). It is is from the Greek word esti, which is the third person singular of to be. The power in Greek is dynamis," which means the following:

    1: strength, power, ability.

    1a: inherent power, power residing in a thing by virtue of its nature. (This tells us that the Holy Spirit is not an agent of God’s power, but the very essence
