Princess Nancie doesn't like to follow the rules
Luckily she is a princess
Princess Nancie decides to make a rule banning rules. Nancie doesn't want to comb her hair, wear fancy clothes, or doing boring royal things. Nancie just wants to play and have fun. Soon after she bans rules, Princess Nancie notices that her kingdom is not running so smoothly. The roads are all jammed, her servants have all gone home, and there are people everywhere!
Princess Nancie realizes that people need rules and that even she has to follow the rules sometimes. So the princess reverses her rule and puts all the rules back in place, with a few minor adjustments.
Children learn the value of following the rules.
They also learn that being in charge is not all it is cracked up to be.

Princess Nancie is so excited, there is a big party at the castle tonight
But the party doesn't start for many hours
Princess Nancie is getting very antsy, her arms are feeling dancy, and her feet are quite prancy. She really wants the Ball to start right away. She tries to sit on a chair and she tries to take a walk, but she just can't wait! Princess Nancie is so jumpy she knocks over the 999 suits of armor that line the castle's main hallway.
So Nancie cleans up her mess and because she is doing something else and her mind is off the dance, time starts to pass. Before she knows it the Ball has started!
Princess Nancie learns a useful strategy for waiting and being anxious about something.
Your kids will learn that even Princesses have to clean up their messes.
The story teaches young children about the work/life balance. When your work is done it is time to have fun.
