    Zara, unlike Artemis, took a lot of time to be sure she really wanted to join the company. She didn’t want to jump into something that would likely be years of her life just because she didn’t know what else to do. She knew basketball and fighting would keep her amused, but neither of them were enough. It was the plague of her generation. If they weren’t unfucking of creating the world, they were excess baggage. The bloody breaking point for almost everything. Zara didn’t like it. She didn’t want to have to think about future generations. What kid did. Zara’s kid years were done. She had to care. Suzanna showed her how to care. The more Zara had thought it over, the more she felt she didn’t have much choice. Not so much because she knew the reputation of the company. She knew from her father that no one ever wanted to leave the company in the history of the company. No one was ever asked to leave the company. It was a life choice. A good company to be in. And most importantly. A necessary company for the future of the planet. Even that didn’t convince her. Every cause had the same slogan. What made her sure she had no choice was she knew she would hate herself if she didn’t do it. That had to be avoided.

    Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada 1960. Moved to London, Ontario, Canada in 1967. Started playing hockey and piano. Went to Sir Wilfred Laurier High School and played the trumpet.Studied Architectural Technology at Fanshawe College of Applied Arts and Sciences. Started playing guitar and writing a little. On a trip to the mountains in 1982 with a friend I decided, or was awakened to the knowledge that I was going to pursue writing. Graduated 1984 and moved to Toronto.Moved to Saarbrücken, Germany in 1993.Have traveled many places in North, Middle and South America and Europe.Besides reading and writing also work on photography and music.
