About this ebook
The hope of a utopian Earth lies in her hands...
In the late nineteenth century, an ancient entity summons the first of six humans to initiate a life-changing legacy.
Tulsi Avaho didn't expect to travel so far, but the voice in her head wouldn't be silenced. It led her to a small mountain in Australia where she unearthed a peculiar treasure. Mesmerised by its flexible appearance and life-like behaviour, this strong-minded young immigrant embarks on a journey of discovery into a surprising reality as she's driven to unravel the mystery of THE ZiNDER.
The First Notes is a starter to THE ZiNDER series.

I’ve been writing speculative fiction books for years and now feels like the right time to publish. My first release is the Cosmo Dome series. I was born in North Wales and spent my early childhood in a small town in the Great Sandy Desert of Western Australia, and my teen years on an island in Papua New Guinea. I now call the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia home where I live in an off-grid tiny house homestead in a forest with my husband who’s an eco-architect and theme park designer, and Sir Ollie Monster the cat, who plays like a dog and loves to cuddle. When I’m not writing, I love to dance, play freestyle frisbee, and explore the natural world, sometimes all at once. Find me on socials @tayawoodauthor or drop me a line at tayawood.com.

WHAT A RELIEF TO KNOW that the voice in my head was not a figment! Day after day on this long and hard journey, I told myself that it was guiding me towards something great. I imagined reaching my destination to find a wise and enlightened person, perhaps in robes, or of noble heritage, at a temple or shrine. Admittedly, when I first came ashore in Queensland and the voice grew silent, I worried that I would have to turn back around and make the long journey home. Instead, it returned to steer me north through towns to climb a small and secluded mountain. With no buildings or monuments in sight, I worried again that I had fooled myself.
At dusk last night, I sat, eager for guidance, atop the mountain gazing out across the darkening land at the setting sun. When the voice did not return to offer further direction, my mood stretched dark like the shadows. I cried as I built a fire and did not sleep well. The strange sounds in this vast land kept me suspended on the edge of panic.
As if to reward me for my sleepless night on the cusp of dawn this morning, the voice returned! It grew so loud it drowned out the strange cacophony of cackling and screeching birds. Full, like an angelic choir, it steered me to the southwestern side of the mountain, down through the trees, to a waterfall. I knelt on a flat boulder and watched the water drop into a valley of deep green foliage below. When
