    Christoper ran faster than he have ever ran in his entire life. Gasping for air, he can feel his hand slipping from her fingers as he held on to her. He was gripped with fear and panic. No sooner when he turned to her, a loud piercing shot from a gun rang out. She fell back pulling him down with her. She had been shot in the middle of the back. In shock, he placed his hand over her chest on top of the exit wound. Please, please, oh God, he cried out as he looked down in horror as her blood seeped between his fingers. There was a bright flash, followed by a loud roaring boom. He quickly looked away and covered his eyes. He laid down on top of her. As quickly as he covered her, he felt a quick gust of wind, followed by a painful strike to the back of his head, then total darkness.

    He opened his eye’s and realized he had been knocked unconscious, possibly by flying debris he thought. the pain he felt in his head begun to make him nauseous. His head was spinning. He could hear screaming through the thick dust that surrounded him. The air smelled charred. His face felt hot from the fires that were burning around him. I survived, I was just far away enough from the blast he thought. He looked down and saw that she was gone. Her head had been smashed with bricks. He sat for a while in a daze before walking up the street.

    He wondered aimlessly through the thick clouds of smoke and ash. He felt something
