    "A Girl Like Me" contains three flash fiction pieces that cover a wide variety of emotions. A.E. Chance provides the opportunity to delve into her happiness, her sadness, and her long lasting hobby.

    "First Kiss” is the sweet story of Chloe and Lizzie setting out on their first date. Join them on their crazy ride of lost car keys, tow rides with strangers, and the beginning of a long adventure together. The story is brought to paper based on the author’s first experience in the LGBT community with dating and falling in love with a woman.

    “Whispers of the Past” takes readers into the author’s heart with a second story drawn from the author’s real life. This story follows Lizzie from “First Kiss” who is trying to adjust to heartbreak after the death of her best friend, her mother. The day starts off with her struggling with grief until a strange box of journals appears on her doorstop reminding her that she would never be alone.

    “Tribulation” takes the audience in a different direction by offering them a short story based on a storyline that A.E. Chance developed through fan-fiction online. It’s the story of Pamela who awakes to find herself holding a dagger above her husband, Vincent’s lifeless body that is slowly transforming back into human form.

    A.E Chance is a current student attending Full Sail University to obtain her BFA in Creative Writing. Most recently, she published “ROOM 408” with the Scarlet Leaf Review (2018). She is also striving to complete her first novel titled, “A GIRL LIKE YOU,” a story based on her experience with having fallen in love with a woman for the first time. Aside from working on her novel, she writes comic-book fantasy stories as well as supernatural articles. Along with being an author, she is also the manager of operations at her local AMC Theatre.
