About this ebook
When Shelby sits down with his daughter in the 22nd century, he begins to tell the story of his fascinating life to her; a story that he had never spoken of until then.
From his Kindergarten and the tragedy of his best friend Leonard’s family, to moving out to the ghost towns of the west coast and meeting the enigmatic Amy, Shelby tells his story with a mix of dark humor and painful recollection.
And when the mob comes looking for his new best friend and Shelby gets caught in the crossfire of a gunfight, it changes him in ways he never thought would be possible.
Losing Amy would be the catalyst in his life that would lead to the meeting with Chen Rodgers, a man who is more than just a home schooling tutor.
How can Shelby overcome the deep sense of loss he feels? And can Chen ever help him to forgive himself?

Your Question’s Answer
Have you ever been in a moment of extreme panic? I have.
Of course, you may have too; in fact, you may have been in worse situations than I have and had more panic than I can imagine, because I know that some situations in my past seemed big at the time but became small as I faced worse or harder things. Even now, I know there may be worse situations than I have ever faced before ahead, but hey, that’s life. Events start out as a big deal, turn into a small deal, and based on our reaction, become either a big blessing or a big curse.
By the way my dear daughter, I am glad you have visited me while I’m sick. I understand I am dying and do not know when I am going to pass. You’ve got to love this 22nd century technology. Anyway, I am blessed to live in the United Nations of North America. It can be grim at times, but seeing you succeeding in your own life brightens my day. Your mother would be so proud of you. I remember you asked me a few weeks ago, If you had to give a collection of wisdom to your children, what would you give them?
I figure now that the time is nigh for me to leave this planet, I can give you this collection, a collection I am still sorting through and adding onto myself. There will be people you have met, experiences you have been through, and stories you have heard that you will not remember. After making a few mistakes as a teenager and young adult, the government ordered for my family’s memories to be censored, for which I apologize now. Please let me finish what I want to say, then formulate your questions and send them back to me. After that, if I am able to, I will answer you. I will begin now.
I first want you to know that during my life, I have learned that if you are going to do significant good things in the world, significant bad things will oppose you along the way. What’s more, the humans around us are a reflection of our opportunities in life. You have a few people who want to see others succeed, fewer who do not mind others advancing past them as they move forward, and many who revel in another’s failures. Find the ones who
