A girl, a hit man and a time machine may be more than Dane Fortune can handle.   Skye Ransom's peaceful college life is altered when her parents are both killed on the same day within hours of each other. But when she receives a strange package in the mail after her father's death, it contains a small device with no explanation. Desperate to find out what it is, she goes to her father's lab to get answers—and is nearly killed by a hit man. The mysterious Dane Fortune offers her protection, leaving her no choice but to accept.   Ex-military man Dane Fortune is hired by a brilliant inventor to protect his life and the lives of his family. But when the inventor and his wife are taken out by a hit man before the job even gets started, Dane knows he has to get to their daughter before something happens to her. Keeping her safe becomes more difficult than he anticipates as more than one foe is after her and a device she doesn't even know she possesses—a small-scale time machine.   With the hit man and the NSA hot on their trail, Skye inadvertently transports them back in time to the thirteenth century where they find themselves in the middle of Scotland's battle for independence from England. At the mercy of the time machine—and learning to trust each other—they have to find a way back home before they're trapped in the past forever.

At the mercy of a faulty time machine, will Skye and Dane be able to make it home alive?   At the mercy of a faulty time machine, Skye Ransom and Dane Fortune are forced to randomly leap through time on a wild, roller-coaster ride of danger as they try to get back to the 21st century. Each jump sends them farther away from home, but brings them closer together in a bond that not even a time bender can sever.   With their last time leap, they end up in a strange futuristic frigid world with two opposing tribes. The arrival of the time travelers sets into motion a long-dead prophecy indicating Skye is the future of one of the tribes, causing a rebellion. When one of the tribe leaders kidnaps Skye intent on marrying her, and sacrificing her to the gods to help him win that rebellion, Dane uses his military tactics to launch an all-out war to save her before she's burned alive on a funeral pyre. But will he be able to save her before it's too late?

Still lost in time, Skye and Dane face their most dangerous enemy yet. As Skye Ransom and Dane Fortune time jump for the third time, they leave the frozen tundra of wintertime behind, hoping to land in their own century. That hope is crushed when they wake up in a jungle with oppressive humidity and a native tribe who mistakes Skye for the Goddess of Fire. Arriving at the tribe's village, they're introduced to Dr. Charles Ridgewood who gives them the impression he is not what he appears. While waiting for the time bender to reset, they're honored guests of the Citadel's royal family. But when Dane falls ill, and Skye is captured, the true identity of Dr. Ridgewood is revealed and an old enemy returns to finish a job he started.  Now separated, the two have to reunite before they're lost to each other forever. 

In this new adventure, Dane is heralded as a god while Skye is branded a sorceress. Can he use his godlike power to save them both?   Skye and Dane hurtle through space and time only to end up in a desert world resembling that of Ancient Egypt…but not. As they navigate the dry, dusty world in the aftermath of war, Dane is heralded as the Lord of the Underworld, a god resurrected as human and eerily like the Egyptian god, Osiris. The ancient inhabitants fear him, the pharaoh and his wife worship him, while Skye, with her flaming red hair, is branded a sorceress and sent to work in the blistering heat as a slave.   Now Dane must work his way back to her but is thwarted by factions he never expected and can't outmaneuver. And when a new enemy appears, their situation becomes the most dangerous yet.
