About this ebook

Under-cover agent Monica investigates the 2002 terror attack on Djerba's Jewish Temple, but when a young British woman's corpse washes up one morning, she suddenly slithers into a mesh of international politics and jet-setter parties together by something on the brink between ancient superstition, desire and theoretical science.

Djerba Déjá Vu is Alexis Debary's first literary thriller but it`s based on the terrorist blast on island of Djerba, in Tunisian, on 11/04/02. The author studied Islamic Studies and German Literature in Germany, and has lived and travelled extensivily in Arabic speaking countries. She binds first-hand glimpses of the Muslim world with raw action and vibrant imagery. This full-length debut plays with cultural prejudice and the search for identity in a globslised world. She lives in Morocco.

With a forceful movement, he locks her in his arms, covering her mouth with kisses, and she feels how his desire churns to life. Outside, the shadow of a movement flashes over the wall...
