- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5If we put our trust on God and learned to walk by faith, God will definitely guide, lead and prepare us for a purpose in life. Just like everything that happened in the book of Esther, there is really no such thing as coincident when too many of it happening again and again. It's all about God blessings so that we can serve him when the right time is being revealed to us. Perhaps the only thing we needed to know is, are we ready or prepare?

INTRODUCTION
Purim: Purim is a holiday that celebrates the deliverance of the Jewish people from extermination, as detailed in the story of Esther in the Bible. This event serves as a reminder that God places each individual on their own unique path to fulfil a greater purpose. In this case, it was through Esther's bravery and intervention with King Ahasuerus that saved her people. However, it was also thanks to her cousin Mordecai who played an important role in encouraging and guiding her towards fulfilling her destiny. Together, they exemplify how we all have our part to play in God's plan for us and others around us.
The story highlights the importance of unity between a man and a woman. It showcases how when they come together, their combined efforts can bring down even the mightiest forces of darkness. This idea is further reinforced by referencing John 17:22-23 which talks about the glory given to us by God so that we may be united as one in perfect harmony, just like He is with His son Jesus Christ. This unity not only brings strength but also serves as a testimony to others about God's love for humanity.
Esther's story is often solely focused on her role in the birth of Purim, but there are many other important elements to consider. She starts off as a foreigner and an orphan, facing challenges and discrimination from being both a woman and a Jew. However, through God's grace and guidance, she rises to become queen and plays a crucial role in saving her people from death.
But behind every great person is usually someone who was instrumental in their journey towards success. In this case, it was Mordecai - Esther's cousin who took her in after she became an orphan. He not only provided for her physical needs but also acted as a mentor figure by encouraging her to be brave and reminding her of the power of prayer. This emphasizes that while individuals may play significant roles in shaping events or bringing about change, they do not act alone. The hand of God is always present on those who acknowledge Him and call upon His name. This can be seen throughout the book of Esther as various characters turn to God for help during times of distress.
Additionally, we see how Esther uses wisdom and strategic thinking to navigate difficult situations instead of relying solely on outward beauty or charm. Her faithfulness to God allows her to make courageous decisions even at great personal risk. Even with access to the king's chamber, she was not exempt from possible death. Overall, the story of Esther teaches us about resilience, courage, faithfulness to God despite challenging circumstances, and the importance of having supportive figures like Mordecai along our journeys towards fulfilling our purpose.
The Parallel of Esther and Mary: A Biblical Connection
The story of Esther can be compared to Mary, who would give birth to Jesus Christ as a virgin. Both women were chosen for pivotal roles in God's plan and their stories serve as examples of faith and courage. God chose Mary, a woman among many during that time period, to give birth to His Son. In society at the time, women were often relegated to supportive roles and not given much autonomy or recognition. However, in these two particular instances, it was men who played nurturing roles. This goes against societal norms and expectations of the time.
Mary faced immense discrimination as an unmarried pregnant woman and could have even been stoned to death for her situation. Yet God had chosen her for this special role despite what others may think or say about her. In another display of breaking gender stereotypes, Joseph also played a crucial part in bringing Jesus into the world. He received confirmation from an angel in a dream about Mary's supernatural pregnancy and instead of rejecting her like most would expect him to do, he stood by her side and together they welcomed their son into the world. This shows us that with God's plan comes unexpected twists and turns that go against societal norms but
