I dedicate this book of wisdom, power and purpose to my Mother Pastor Erma Samuels, the epitome of the strength of a woman who said, don’t let the devil see you cry defeated but put on your armour every morning and rise up and walk.

A book for all women - young and old.  Peta-Gay candidly addresses issues, including sin, which disrobes God's Royal Daughters.  She does so however, in a compassionate and empathetic manner that would encourage God's princesses to want to wear their royal apparel and to wear them well. She points out how this can be done by also telling her own stories of failures and triumphs and in sharing invaluable lessons learnt and gems that God's daughters need.

It is easy to read but profound in its advice. Peta-Gay's conversational style allows her readers to have the experience of someone holding their hand and walking with them while talking them through difficult trials.  There is a grace upon this book and a feminine touch that lets you know from the beginning that you are being coached by one who has found her place and position and conviction that she is truly royal!  Peta-Gay is real.

Preface

Set in the backdrop of a royal castle upon a lush mountain is the daughter of the King showing both position and purpose. Adorned in her royal white robe and majestic crown, the position of her authority is evident. Her purpose is revealed as she is clad in the armour of God appointed with power to defeat the Enemy and overtake kingdoms. In her right hand she is armed with a battle axe as was prophesied in Jeremiah 51:20. The origin of the term used in that context is actually a war club/hammer/mase given by Jehovah to His people to smash the Enemy into pieces. The image of the battle axe is maintained and used figuratively in this book however to describe the dismembering and dismantling of the Enemy rendering him defenceless to return with the same tactic.

"You are the King’s daughter" emerged from a desire to have other women share the same freedom I experienced as a result of being set free from years of bondage to Satan’s lies.

Have you felt sick and tired of being sick and tired; fed up of the revolving door of the same issues? There comes a point where you know you are at the edge, and the facade of pretence and denial has now begun to wear off. At this point you know you must let go because you cannot do this by yourself. At this point some commit suicide, take drugs, seek false religion or witchcraft for answers or seek the One who created all i.e. God. My freedom begun when I let go and let God; too churched out for pride and fancy prayers. The father of lies had loosed his grip so that the spirit of God was able to work in me. I also began to experience the grace and compassion of God as Father, giving me that confidence to resist the devil. Subsequently, the veil between my flesh life and my spiritual life was removed, allowing me to gain a better understanding of the spiritual basis upon which the physical world operates. I discovered that I am an overcomer because 1John 5:4 KJV says For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 

Now I desire your freedom so that you can be what God designed you to be; you are free to be born of God; free to be the Daughter of the King.

This journal of truth speaks to all ages and to the rich and the poor. Although this book refers to daughters, sons also experience the challenges of coming into purpose. Despair and hopelessness due to illness, abuse, at-risk social settings, dysfunctional family life or poor decisions are real-life experiences of mankind. Stories about women who have been down these roads are painted on a canvas of victory, highlighting in a realistic way the issues that we women deal with on a daily basis. To deal with life’s challenges physically and spiritually, you are clothed in royal garments bit by bit and led to walk in your authority as an heir of the King. You are then armed with weapons of the whole armour of God because as a Kingdom heir you have to war for territory. You don’t just live and make it through; You are an overcomer.

Dear reader, you could have had it rough or are doing just fine, however the truth of God’s revealed purpose for your life is always empowering. It touches real life in real time. It puts a crown on your head and weapons of victory in your hand. After all, You Are the King’s Daughter, not alone or forgotten. Insight is provided on how to survive through terrible times to be a remnant after disaster. This is a guide on how to be restored from destruction and how to stand tall in the gap for yourself and others. This is an intercessor’s reference guide. It can also be a ministry tool for men who love the women in their lives as they can draw gems from it to pour into their lives. It’s not always all about you, sometimes you have to arm yourself to help others up their mountains and out of their pit as we were placed here for others.

This book was not birthed without a fight because it sheds light on some truths and the truth shall set you free. While writing I had to face the fact that some of my trials were as a result of my own poor decisions. Memory lanes turned into dark valleys but I found healing as the Word of God became alive and spoke life and light. The devil of course also tried to disrobe me with my past sins but my belt of truth held my royal robe of righteousness secure and I maintained my throne room position. I am the King’s daughter. Through the challenges, genuine relationship with God continues to allow me to persevere. No emotion or fleshy efforts could raise my hands and wet my tongue with such praises to God as I daily live to worship in spirit and truth. This is real and tangible more than philosophy, intellect, riches and physical prowess which all crumble in diverse circumstances.

Nothing can renew the mind and fill your circumstance with such light, love and life as the Word of God. Psalm 113:30 NIV says "The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple."  Therefore, while reading, have a bible to highlight the truths and to study. Have also your own journal notebook to make a map of your journey as you attire yourself bit by bit in your royal garments giving you authority and your Armour of God, your power.

I desire through my journal that women would get a glimpse of how Jesus sees us; to know that He is touched by the feelings of our infirmities, our sin and our hurt, in the hopes that we will see our sisters and daughters in the same way our Heavenly Father sees them. Be healed so you can heal; be delivered so you can deliver others.

See you at the throne!
