      Chapter 1 Testing

      In a Guardian hold hidden in Elsewhere, Sam and Felicia had all the tiny nekos who had killed Wilhelm or created by Wilhelm. Everything was being recorded. It was time to test the nekos to see what they were capable of. Psychological and psychiatric assessment were being done on the nekos.

      It was the safest thing to do when they had requested to become Guardians. If they passed their assessments, they would become the first tiny nekos Guardians. There were regular sized nekos that were Guardians to be sure. But this was the first time tiny nekos wanted to become Guardians as well.

      They had been in isolation for much of their lives due to Wilhelm’s possessiveness. But one tiny neko, his own son, had snuck out of the compound when he was much too young to be on his own. He was found by an elf who took care of him. She was the only mama that tiny neko had known and remembered. His own biological mother had died not too long before he had escaped.

      Sam looked to Felicia. Are you ready?

      She sighed. Let’s get this over with.

      Alright, everyone. You will get tested one at a time. The computer will ask you lots of questions. Just answer honestly. Please don’t skip any questions. Answer them all.

      The tiny nekos stared.

      One spoke up, What kind of test is this?

      Sam answered, Two kinds. One is psychological and the other is psychiatric. We do understand why you killed Wilhelm, but we need to make sure no one is dangerous. We Guardians have a strict code. We don’t kill for the sake of killing. We kill in self defense. I hope that is clear.

      The tiny nekos nodded their heads.

      Okay, let’s begin. He motioned for a neko.

      One stepped forward and got inside the cubical. The others waited. They got restless. They frowned. They bit their lips. They pushed each other.

      Felicia rolled her eyes. Stop! You have to be patient. There is only one cubical and it takes time to go through all the questions.

      The nekos straightened up. Some sat down on the floor and waited. Some sighed. Others remained standing and changed positions every so often. After one came out of the cubical, Felicia would send them to another place to wait. Then she or Sam would motion for another neko to enter the
