About this ebook
Enter the Darkness
"There were some rather gruesome details to the affair—Jesus Christ—I am not even referring to the cannibalism, for in my mind, at this time, it seems somehow mundane, somehow…quaint, for lack of a better word. How far gone am I…?" –Edward Webb Hawkins, "The Brazil Business"
Travel along that razor's edge separating horror and fantasy.
Explore the desolate New England wilds where a woman of will and wit collides against a monstrosity of tooth and claw. Descend into the depths of the earth where dark things die and rise again.
Trace the steps of a famed jungle explorer lost to the wilds, and pray his fate is not your own. Roam the labyrinthine corridors of the criminal mind and experience terrors known only to killers and to the men who stalk them.
Travel the back alleys and plague walls of Mortise Locke, the Machine City, the last bastion of mankind in all its glory, honor, and depravity. Burn rubber through the streets of Old Mexico City, where the pyramids stand in vestigial homage to blood-hungry gods long since rotted away to dust, or have they…?
Seven tales that will take you places you never knew existed, places you never knew you wanted to go, places you'll hunger to return to.
The Brazil Business—
While Emily Webb-Hawkins lies dying of consumption, her husband Wilbur must embark on a jungle quest in hope of discovering an esoteric cure. His journey will take him from the sandy shores of New England to the deepest jungles of the Amazon where he'll encounter an eldritch nightmare that offers him exactly what it is that he seeks. But will he be willing to pay the price?
A Shadow in the Night Rising—
While Lithe-Wind, a Wampanoag Princess, struggles through the wilds on a crash course with her destiny, a puritanical madman bent on genocide stalks her from afar. And he gains. Amidst the backdrop of an Indian War, will Lithe-Wind achieve her destiny in time to save her people from destruction?
Steel at Dawn—
After a night of heavy drinking, Alin awakens only to find he's trapped by honor into a duel with a cruel nobleman. Will Alin swallow his pride and call it off? Will the nobleman accept? When fate conspires against the both of them and only steel can decide, who will walk away? Will either?
Slum Chutney—
Join Detective Avinash Singh in a rip-roaring descent into darkness as he scours the deepest cesspits of the Machine City in search of a nobleman's daughter. She'd been taken, but by who? And why? Will Detective Shakteel survive long enough to find the girl? And if he does, will he finally get exactly what's coming to him?
At your fingertips lie seven tales seething with darkness. Seven tales that will transport you to places you never knew existed, places you never knew you wanted to go, places you'll hunger to return to.

Kevin Wright
About the Author Kevin Wright studied writing at the University of Massachusetts in Lowell and fully utilized his bachelor’s degree by seeking and attaining employment first as a produce clerk and later as an emergency medical technician and firefighter. His parents were thrilled. For decades now he has studied a variety of martial arts but steadfastly remains not-tough in any way, shape, or form. He just likes to pay money to get beat up, apparently. Kevin Wright peaked intellectually in the seventh grade. He enjoys reading a little bit of everything and writing sci-fi, fantasy, and horror. He does none of it well. Revelations, his debut novel, is a Lovecraftian horror tale. GrimNoir is a collection of his best short stories, and Lords of Asylum is an insane detective fantasy. His mom really likes all of them even though she’s never read any of them and wonders continually why he can’t just write anything ‘nice.’ Kevin Wright continues to write in his spare time and is currently working on a new full length novel.
