About this ebook

Poems as observations, both internal and external; visualizations, expurgations, catharsis, complete imagination and renegotiation with all that is. My poems are numbered as a poetic-emotive index, describing an otherwise fairly uneventful existence. I don't recall how or why I got started writing, It just happened during my junior year of high school. A few years later looking back over several poems, I found they served as this poetic-emotive index to my life up to that point. The more difficult or stressful things became, the more I wrote. The writing waxed and waned, and as it started up again it would be different than the previous period, even if separated by only a few months. Noticing this I started numbering these poems. The period where I had written A Thousand Days, became the 1000 series. In the next life period when I had written The Second Thousand, that become the 2000 series. That convention carried on through all following writing periods. These are the ones most worthy (or appropriate) of sharing with you kind people.

I am a working man, an educated man, an Honorably Discharged US Marine, and most importantly a family man. My wife Dana and I have three great children; Daughter Kathryn, and sons Evan and Parker, (and dog Charlie, cats Sadie and Jadan). We live in exotic West Lafayette, Indiana; home of Purdue University where I both attended and worked for a bit. I have in my working lifetime been a meat cutter, security patrolman, retail store detective, hotel front desk staff, events staff, restaurant manager, and a facilities manager. I began writing poetry in high school, which was a short 3 decades ago. I have always been interested in everything, and at some point in the past, this led me to discover Taoism, Buddhism, and currently Stoicism. I plan on publishing more material soon on these topics.
