Mercy Zephyr
Mercy Zephyr is a transgender woman of Native descent living in Alaska. Having become tired of the usual misleading or tragic accounts of what it is like to be someone like her in fiction, she decided the best way to solve the problem was to start writing uplifting fiction of her own. She lives with her husband, who is also trans, spoils her granddaughter, and writes full time.

Chapter 1: COAL IN MY STOCKING
Hey, Brayden! Go wipe up the tables, will you?
I ground my teeth together. My name isn't Brayden, I thought, it's Amber. Braden is a boy's name. I'm a girl! The words went almost as far as my throat this time before that little voice in my head leapt upon them and smashed them down.
